BitCoin Miner – How To Remove RiskWare.BitCoinMiner Trojan ...

How to completely remove Bitcoin Miner malware?

On my computer, I had a a Bitcoin Miner malware for nearly a year until I noticed that it was making my computer significantly slower. I ran MalwareBytes, Avast, then I looked up how to get rid of it and downloaded lot of advanced software meant to get rid of it, but my computer was still very slow. I ended up formatting my computer completely and that fixed the problem.
Now, I come to find out that my sibling also has it (apparently he never installed any antivirus), so I ran MalwareBytes and removed it, but I really don't think it has been completely removed and I insist on him formatting his computer, but he has a ton of games on his 1TB drive and I wouldn't want him to re-download them all over again. Another reason I want him to reset his computer is because his disk usage often spikes and stays at 100%, and, the hard drive is full, with only 10GB of free space.
If I reinstall Windows 10 without deleting his data, will the virus be gone? He also has a 128GB secondary hard drive; how could I remove Windows from his main drive, keep his files there, and install Windows on his second 128GB driver?

Removed bitcoin miner malware .exe but windows keeps trying o reopen it

Hi guys, I have just deleted a bitcoin miner malware from my computer using malwarebytes. After that I removed the malwarebytes app from my computer. The thing is that I was hearing that sound when you stick out a flash drive from your computer. After checking the windows events, it seems like my windows is trying to reopen the malware without success, since I removed the .exe. How do I stop windows from trying to reopen the malware .exe?

LAPTOP PERFORMANCE IS TERRIBLE CONSIDERING ITS SPECS

So when i bought the Laptop everything was fine but now im getting like 40 fps in games and graphics is set lower. Before it was 60fps but on much higher graphics. MY SPECS : Asus TUF gaming FX504 GTX 1050 4GB , Intel I7 8750H , 8gb ram and 1TB HDD. Im thinking it could be due to a) I installed malware by mistake. I downloaded like 5 AV and somehow "removed it" Malwarebytes told me that it was bitcoin miner which affect performance so I tought that was it and I did factory reset but that made it just worse now i cant open NVIDIA control panel and update my graphics driver trough Geforce experience and overall performance is same if not worse . Or b) Some time ago I tried overclocking trough MSI afterburner and EVGA precision and almost killed my gpu but I didnt noticed much diference in terms of fps afterwards . I think its due to overclocking but im not sure. pls help thx

Desktop Window Manager and Client Service Runtime Process taking up significant GPU

This is my first post here, so forgive me if I get anything wrong here. I'm vaguely aware I should share the specs of PC, so here they are:
Dell Precision 5540 Mobile Workstation
Onto the problem in more detail, Desktop Window Manager and CSRSS are acting weird, taking up huge amounts of GPU when the computer is essentially idle. It seems to die down a bit sometimes, and come back other times, and usually it happens in massive spikes where they take up 90%+ of the GPU. I thought it might be a bitcoin miner virus or something, so I followed the malware removal thread that is pinned at the top of the subreddit, but none of them found anything (note: I didn't go for the second opinion software). I've been starting to doubt that it actually is a bitcoin miner because it notably only eats my integrated graphics, not my Nvidia GPU thing, which seems weird. I know I could find out by doing a factory reset, but I very much do not want to lose my files, and have experienced plenty of issues with this computer that I would not like to relive. As such, I don't experience performance drops in software that uses the nividia, its mainly focused on software such as google chrome that uses integrated graphics. I've done some amount of googling and found that this might be a nvidia specific problem, but haven't found very many solutions. I did find something about thermal throttling that I didn't understand at all, and a partially working solution in lowering the priority of Desktop Window Manager to low. The priority solution appears to be effective most of the time at keeping it from spiking over 50%.
This started a few days ago, and the only thing I can think of that happened was I downloaded some files (I wanted to put a rom hack for an old pokemon game on my wii u, so I had to get the rom file and the patcher and stuff). This is what made me think it was some sort of bitcoin miner, but now I'm just super confused.

Tldr; DWM and CSRSS are taking like 90% of my integrated GPU , and I have no clue why.

Good and safe exploits to use and not what to use

Here are safe exploits to use and not what to use
To use:
Synapse X (strong executor but paid $20)
Krnl (free executor, only accessed via their discord not off of wearedevs) (key system is trash tho)
Not to use:
Jjsploit (a weak executor, often crashes, data miner, bitcoin miner, deletes important files)
Dansploit (virus and wants money to remove virus via bitcoin)
Anything off of Wearedevs (creator has a trojan on computer so anything on their comes with a virus)
Anything off of YouTube that is free or unheard of (sketchy and possibly malware)
Furk OS (extremely sketchy, AdWare, potential trojan/unwanted software)
Sirhurt (it is run by child predators and is paid therefore making you support them)
Sentinel v3 (a waste of money, no difference to v2)
Fluxus (unsafe, off of WeAreDevs)
Overall summary: Buy Synapse X, if you are poor join the krnl discord and download via that, don't go to WeAreDevs don't download things off YouTube and stay safe

Fitgirl Assassins Creed Origins install bitcoin miner causing high cpu usage when Task Manager is not running

Fitgirl Assassins Creed Origins install bitcoin miner causing high cpu usage when Task Manager is not running
Hello,I downloaded Assasins creed origins today from this site: fitgirl-repacks dot site And something feels odd when I exit the game, my CPU is running at roughly 60%, and as soon as I open task manager it would go back to normal. I ran malwarebytes and it found 2 suspicious items and removed them, but the problem continue, so I started to investigate manually. So I start up Performance Monitor and check which process would shoot up as soon as I close Task Manager. This is what I found. SoundModule. I open up Task Manager, and found 2 running process of this, I open their location and found them at AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoundModule.
I quickly look these up, they do not belong to microsoft and won't trigger any antivirus or malwarebytes, I killed those process and deleted them which solved the problem for me. Hopefully this post will help someone in the future.
For more details regarding this "SoundModule" https://www.anti-malware.name/removal-guide/remove-soundmodule-exe/
I started the game again after that and the "soundmodule" executable or process did not get recreated.
If you pirate a game, make sure you check on your CPU usage to see if there is an suspicious thing going on. In my case, I only realized that something is running on my cpu due to CoreTemp, because I would see the temperature be at 60 to 70 degree Celsius, while my normal idle temp is usually only at 40 to 60, and as soon as I start Task manager, the temperature did drop back to 40ish.

I have ran the script to verify bins a few times before installing cause it didnt seem to do anything to me. Installed the game and had the cpu issue.
P.S. If you don't trust me, that is fine. This post is not for you. I am not here to convince you or trash fitgirl. We are all pirates here, we are all stealing in someway. This post is mainly for someone else that may have this problem in the future.
If anyone have similar issue, and don't know how to find the bitcoin miner in their pc, do not be shy to private message me, I am happy to help. It is very easy for developers to scan for running process and stop work while a given process is opened, thus the miners process will continue to evolve to hide under more and more programs, so it will become very difficult at some point.
UPDATE:
I was contacted by 2 people that have seen this post. 1 person has installed the same package and was not affect. Another person has installed the same package and was affected. Chance is the installer is installing the bitcoin miner based on random number generator.

TIFU by having my laptop used for bitcoin mining

FU is still in progress and I have no way of knowing when it started, which may be what is stressing me out the most right now. So come with me on a journey of regret while my fourth malware scanner of the night sits at 64% and my friends have gone to bed.
So the story, I guess, would begin back when I first started university, about five years ago. I got into art school for visual communication and planned on becoming an animator. To celebrate and to support me, my dad bought me a kick ass lenovo gaming laptop with the power of a billion suns (as you may come to guess, I am not tech savvy. Definitely not tech savvy enough to own this laptop) capable of running several adobe programs at once, with a RAM wide enough to put my mother's behind to shame, with an internal disk memory as big as the disappointment in my father's eyes. College begins, websites for illicit procuration of expensive programs exist, my naive young sunshine self doesn't even know what a VPN is, and for some reason which is is causing me an enormous amount of self-hatred right now, owning a top of the range gaming laptop with amazing everything doesn't seem like a good enough reason for me to pay for an antivirus, so I go with the free software, the ffp1 option, the least-amount-of-having-to-think-about-it choice, because I would totally NOT regret that later, perhaps five years later, at 3 AM - ironically while trying to animate for the first time ever.
I continue my happy little life with my absolute beast of a laptop but shit happens and I never actually go into animation, I go into printmaking, which is the most analog of art forms possibly ever, so between having a huge amount of studio work, thesis research and just life stuff, my laptop spends the prime of his life as a glorified facebook machine, a particularly large and lovely screen to watch parks and rec on perhaps. Or so I think...
Now I may have noticed performance issues at various points, in fact now that I think about it I moved away from using photoshop a long time ago, and when I think about it further I even got a new wacom tablet last winter, because of the unbearable lag... the shame covers me like a wet blanket. What a fucking idiot. No refrigerator-buzz noises, wheezing fans or uncomfortably hot undersides were enough to make me go "hey, perhaps my free antivirus is a piece of rubbish, and it would be worth ten minutes of my time to run a slightly deeper scan than just the automatic stuff that I even only run when it gets absolutely forced on me". No. I had to just plow on, forgetting that my computer ever ran quietly at all, or that it once harnessed the power of a billion suns, that crashes and reboots and long waiting times are not supposed to happen.
Around October 2019 I got annoyed enough to look into how to even use a split drive computer for the first time, and I moved all my bulky user folders to a different drive, and patted myself on the shoulder real good for being such a computer wizard. Hell I even cleaned my registry!
But let's get to the point... amongst many minor technological issues for which my solution is to ignore until I forget, is the fact that my phones memory is full because i am constantly photographing everything with it, but for some reason my laptop stopped recognising my phone as a device. So I started poking around yesterday, and when I tried to update windows I got an error code saying that one or more updates failed. You know that scene in Spirited Away when San pulls on a tiny string in the side of the super stinky bath house guest and a huge stream of pollution comes roaring out? Yeah. Somewhere at the horizon of my mind the thought passed by that it was weird that I hadn't been getting push notifications about windows updates. I looked for my antivirus, and lo and behold, it is gone. I googled some stupid shit like "why has my antivirus disappeared ", get some stupid first-result answer, and leave it at that.
Today as I am following my first animation course online (well done me, yay) as I stare at the endless unjustified blue loading circle next to my cursor my idle mind wanders to my nonexistent antivirus, and i figure i should download a new one. So i do, and i run a scan, and it gives me a warning for one problematic file: Win64: Malware-Gen Trojan. Eek, I think, I have only an extremely vague notion of what that is but I'm sure it's no fun. So I find a lovely step by step guide with pictures made for idiots like me which walks me through the installation of a whole parade of malware scans, and the first one finds 22 malware files, of which 5 Trojans, PUMs to disable my firewall, security centre and antivirus, and 15 PUPs including stuff that apparently had to be manually installed by the user even though I've never seen it before, and one lovely shitty cherry on top, the bitcoin miner.
After removing all those I run the next scan, it comes up with loads of new issues. Then I download and run a third scanner, still more problematic files found. And finally one in a file location that gives me some indication as when this started happening: in year 1 of college when I very briefly dipped my toes into a bunch of fancy programs and then never opened them again for not having had the time or energy.
So there we have it folks, my beast processors have been mining bitcoin for someone for what may have been five years while I watched porn and browsed reddit, and now that i actually sat down to do what this laptop was bought to do, instead i am spending entire days ridding it of a wonderful garden of malware that someone has planted and tended. Karma, bitch. And the worst thing is that I will never know exactly what they did, if they were after more than my bitcoin potential, whether they have been accessing other stuff. Tomorrow I'm changing all my passwords and pins, growing a moustache, and moving to Florida. The morale of this story is: live up to the gifts you receive.
TL;DR: I was gifted a brand new gaming laptop to become an animator. I downloaded a bunch of programs, never used them, maintained nonexistent safety practices and was an unknowing bitcoin mine for possibly five years.

ProxyGate

ProxyGate
Hello reddit, I was playing games yesterday, when I realised my cpu and memory usage was extremely high. I was looking through task manager, and saw a substantial amount was due PG COMPONENT 32. I did some research and apparently, it ties into something called cloud.exe. Most sites are telling me that its a virus, and I want to remove it. I have attached the folder of said Cloud.exe (part of PROXYGATE), and was about to delete it. However, I am not sure what to do. Alarmingly, malwarebytes reported some sort of bitcoin miner, along with the cloud. Please help me finding a solution and also tell me about a good (and free) AV, I can use to protect myself in the future
Edit: I would like to post an update here. I downloaded MalwareBytes, and tried to delete the files this time. Not only that, it detected 100s of malware, bitcoin miners etc on my system. I removed them all, and my computer has never been faster; my cpu usage, ram have gone down by more that 80%. Thank you guys for the help and advice.

Windows Process Manager bitcoin miner

Hi there. At some point I acquired this virus. It makes a random folder in the C:/useappdata/local folder (mine is called "weekbcg") but I've seen others that have this and it's just a random smattering of letters. It has made that folder inaccessible. I can't use my administrator privileges, or safe mode, or anything else it seems to be able to delete it and block it from running. I've heard that it is a bitcoin miner and I would prefer it to stop. When it runs, in the task manager, I'll have several instances of "Windows Process Manager (32 bit)" running and it can use up anywhere from %2-%7 of my CPU and some of my GPU or RAM. I've tried a bunch of malware removal tools, but none seem to work. Have you guys come across this before and were you able to get rid of it? I've been making steps to just reformat my hard drive and start fresh, but I'd prefer not to do that. Any help would be appreciated. Please let me know if you need more info.

Bitcoin 11 Years - Achievements, Lies, and Bullshit Claims So Far - Tooootally NOT a SCAM !!!!

That's right folks, it's that time again for the annual review of how Bitcoin is going: all of those claims, predictions, promises .... how many have turned out to be true, and how many are completely bogus ???
Please post / link this on Bitcoin (I am banned there for speaking the truth, so I cannot do it) ... because it'a way past time those poor clueless mushrooms were exposed to the truth.
Anyway, without further ado, I give you the Bitcoin's Achievements, Lies, and Bullshit Claims So Far ...
.
Bitcoin Achievements so far:
  1. It has spawned a cesspool of scams (2000+ shit coin scams, plus 100's of other scams, frauds, cons).
  2. Many 1,000's of hacks, thefts, losses.
  3. Illegal Use Cases: illegal drugs, illegal weapons, tax fraud, money laundering, sex trafficking, child pornography, hit men / murder-for-hire, ransomware, blackmail, extortion, and various other kinds of fraud and illicit activity.
  4. Legal Use Cases: Steam Games, Reddit, Expedia, Stripe, Starbucks, 1000's of merchants, cryptocurrency conferences, Ummm ????? The few merchants who "accept Bitcoin" immediately convert it into FIAT after the sale, or require you to sell your coins to BitPay or Coinbase for real money, and will then take that money. Some of the few who actually accept bitcoin haven't seen a customer who needed to pay with bitcoin for the last six months, and their cashiers no longer know how to handle that.
  5. Contributing significantly to Global Warming.
  6. Wastes vasts amounts of electricity on useless, do nothing work.
  7. Exponentially raises electricity prices when big miners move into regions where electricity was cheap.
  8. It’s the first "currency" that is not self-sustainable. It operates at a net loss, and requires continuous outside capital to replace the capital removed by miners to pay their costs. It’s literally a "black hole currency."
  9. It created a new way for people living too far from Vegas to gamble all their life savings away.
  10. Spawned "blockchain technology", a powerful technique that lets incompetent programmers who know almost nothing about databases, finance, programming, or blockchain scam millions out of gullible VC investors, banks, and governments.
  11. Increased China's foreign trade balance by a couple billion dollars per year.
  12. Helped the FBI and other law enforcement agents easily track down hundreds of drug traffickers and drug users.
  13. Wasted thousands if not millions of man-hours of government employees and legislators, in mostly fruitless attempts to understand, legitimize, and regulate the "phenomenon", and to investigate and prosecute its scams.
  14. Rekindled the hopes of anarcho-capitalists and libertarians for a global economic collapse, that would finally bring forth their Mad Max "utopia".
  15. Added another character to Unicode (no, no, not the "poo" 💩 character ... that was my first guess as well 🤣)
  16. Provides an easy way for malware and ransomware criminals to ply their trade and extort hospitals, schools, local councils, businesses, utilities, as well as the general population.
.
Correct Predictions:

Yes, Bitcoin reached $1,000 in 2013 and 2014, but that's NOT what the prediction says).

Can someone explain the circumstances surrounding YGOPRO TDOANE? I've been using it.

As a returning player (from pre 2005) I was recommended "YGOPRO" but I did not know that this name was relatively ambiguous; and that for some reason there are over half a dozen games using the same name. I downloaded the top suggestion on google. YGOPRO The Dawn of a new era.
I've been playing it for about two weeks. And i've actually been really liking it. There isn't a huge player-base but it's been doing what I wanted (helping me get back into the game and slowly learn the current format). However I've recently stumbled on the fact that this is not the only game; and furthermore many claims that TDOANE contains malware, memory leaks, used as a covert bitcoin miner etc, etc, etc... Normally such claims wouldn't concern me much; as i've been monitoring TDOANE's resource usage (which seems entirely normal so far) and aggressively investigating it with malware detection software since reading said claims. But these claims are made by many, many people. Furthermore; for a game with such a nice interface it's strange it's not listed in the sidebar here; leading some credence to the possibility of a problem. So I'm kinda confused.
I'd simply like to know; what happened with TDOANE? Was there any actual evidence? Is the game currently still afflicted or is it avoided on lost trust? Finally; should I be immediately removing it from my computer, and if so, what methods should I take to ensure it's removal? Essentially, should I be treating it as a threat, or just a game with a bad reputation?
Cheers

Groestlcoin 6th Anniversary Release

Introduction

Dear Groestlers, it goes without saying that 2020 has been a difficult time for millions of people worldwide. The groestlcoin team would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone our best to everyone coping with the direct and indirect effects of COVID-19. Let it bring out the best in us all and show that collectively, we can conquer anything.
The centralised banks and our national governments are facing unprecedented times with interest rates worldwide dropping to record lows in places. Rest assured that this can only strengthen the fundamentals of all decentralised cryptocurrencies and the vision that was seeded with Satoshi's Bitcoin whitepaper over 10 years ago. Despite everything that has been thrown at us this year, the show must go on and the team will still progress and advance to continue the momentum that we have developed over the past 6 years.
In addition to this, we'd like to remind you all that this is Groestlcoin's 6th Birthday release! In terms of price there have been some crazy highs and lows over the years (with highs of around $2.60 and lows of $0.000077!), but in terms of value– Groestlcoin just keeps getting more valuable! In these uncertain times, one thing remains clear – Groestlcoin will keep going and keep innovating regardless. On with what has been worked on and completed over the past few months.

UPDATED - Groestlcoin Core 2.18.2

This is a major release of Groestlcoin Core with many protocol level improvements and code optimizations, featuring the technical equivalent of Bitcoin v0.18.2 but with Groestlcoin-specific patches. On a general level, most of what is new is a new 'Groestlcoin-wallet' tool which is now distributed alongside Groestlcoin Core's other executables.
NOTE: The 'Account' API has been removed from this version which was typically used in some tip bots. Please ensure you check the release notes from 2.17.2 for details on replacing this functionality.

ALL NEW! – HODL GRS Android Wallet

HODL GRS connects directly to the Groestlcoin network using SPV mode and doesn't rely on servers that can be hacked or disabled.
HODL GRS utilizes AES hardware encryption, app sandboxing, and the latest security features to protect users from malware, browser security holes, and even physical theft. Private keys are stored only in the secure enclave of the user's phone, inaccessible to anyone other than the user.
Simplicity and ease-of-use is the core design principle of HODL GRS. A simple recovery phrase (which we call a Backup Recovery Key) is all that is needed to restore the user's wallet if they ever lose or replace their device. HODL GRS is deterministic, which means the user's balance and transaction history can be recovered just from the backup recovery key.

ALL NEW! – GroestlcoinSeed Savior

Groestlcoin Seed Savior is a tool for recovering BIP39 seed phrases.
This tool is meant to help users with recovering a slightly incorrect Groestlcoin mnemonic phrase (AKA backup or seed). You can enter an existing BIP39 mnemonic and get derived addresses in various formats.
To find out if one of the suggested addresses is the right one, you can click on the suggested address to check the address' transaction history on a block explorer.

ALL NEW! – Vanity Search Vanity Address Generator

NOTE: NVidia GPU or any CPU only. AMD graphics cards will not work with this address generator.
VanitySearch is a command-line Segwit-capable vanity Groestlcoin address generator. Add unique flair when you tell people to send Groestlcoin. Alternatively, VanitySearch can be used to generate random addresses offline.
If you're tired of the random, cryptic addresses generated by regular groestlcoin clients, then VanitySearch is the right choice for you to create a more personalized address.
VanitySearch is a groestlcoin address prefix finder. If you want to generate safe private keys, use the -s option to enter your passphrase which will be used for generating a base key as for BIP38 standard (VanitySearch.exe -s "My PassPhrase" FXPref). You can also use VanitySearch.exe -ps "My PassPhrase" which will add a crypto secure seed to your passphrase.
VanitySearch may not compute a good grid size for your GPU, so try different values using -g option in order to get the best performances. If you want to use GPUs and CPUs together, you may have best performances by keeping one CPU core for handling GPU(s)/CPU exchanges (use -t option to set the number of CPU threads).

ALL NEW! – Electrum Personal Server

Groestlcoin Electrum Personal Server aims to make using Electrum Groestlcoin wallet more secure and more private. It makes it easy to connect your Electrum-GRS wallet to your own full node.
It is an implementation of the Electrum-grs server protocol which fulfils the specific need of using the Electrum-grs wallet backed by a full node, but without the heavyweight server backend, for a single user. It allows the user to benefit from all Groestlcoin Core's resource-saving features like pruning, blocks only and disabled txindex. All Electrum-GRS's feature-richness like hardware wallet integration, multi-signature wallets, offline signing, seed recovery phrases, coin control and so on can still be used, but connected only to the user's own full node.
Full node wallets are important in Groestlcoin because they are a big part of what makes the system be trust-less. No longer do people have to trust a financial institution like a bank or PayPal, they can run software on their own computers. If Groestlcoin is digital gold, then a full node wallet is your own personal goldsmith who checks for you that received payments are genuine.
Full node wallets are also important for privacy. Using Electrum-GRS under default configuration requires it to send (hashes of) all your Groestlcoin addresses to some server. That server can then easily spy on your transactions. Full node wallets like Groestlcoin Electrum Personal Server would download the entire blockchain and scan it for the user's own addresses, and therefore don't reveal to anyone else which Groestlcoin addresses they are interested in.
Groestlcoin Electrum Personal Server can also broadcast transactions through Tor which improves privacy by resisting traffic analysis for broadcasted transactions which can link the IP address of the user to the transaction. If enabled this would happen transparently whenever the user simply clicks "Send" on a transaction in Electrum-grs wallet.
Note: Currently Groestlcoin Electrum Personal Server can only accept one connection at a time.

Sneaky Miners

Hi,
I built a PC a few months ago. My motherboard has a tiny display on it which displays CPU temperature on it. Last month I saw that the temps were high like I was playing a game but it was actually on idle. When I opened Task Manager the temps went down immediately and eventually figured out this must be a miner. I downloaded malwarebytes and instantly it caught a bitcoin miner (according to quarantine it was either of these 3: RiskWare.BitcoinMiner.COMSPECRST or Trojan.BitCoinMiner.BatBitRst or Trojan.BitCoinStealer.BatBitRst). After which the problem went away and temps were predictable and stable.
Now again the temps are high when left alone for a few minutes and immediately go down when I touch the mouse. Little do they know I have a hardwired temperature monitor which is effectively an activity level meter lol. Malwarebytes(updated) says there's nothing but I am still suspicious. I have followed the suggested reading Official Malware Removal Guide alone with HitmanPro. HitmanPro got about a hundred tracking cookies but that's it.
Has anyone had problems like these before? Thank you.

Need to move my btc from a closed source wallet

I have this stubborn bitcoin miner (that’s all it does, not a rat or anything) on my PC that will not get off no matter what i do, malware bytes scans and “removes” it every single time, but it comes back. the registry items and the files come back every few days. I’m just gonna reset my whole PC. Anyways, I started using coinomi because I thought I would be dealing with under $20, but since has gone up to the number where I’m no longer comfortable leaving it on a computer that has a virus on it, OR on a closed source wallet. However, in coinomi, I can only see my recovery phrase, and not export my secret key. Otherwise I’d just write down the private key, reinstall, and sweep into electrum once i got my PC running again. I’d prefer to somehow sweep into electrum and pay the miners, so I can be sure there won’t be any security risks with importing it (or do i not have to worry about the risks of importing it since my pc is going to be reset, therefore no one else is going to access it?),but I also don’t want to pay them twice, so generating a wallet online using that one site and sending money to it then sweeping with electrum won’t work. Is there any way to just convert the recovery phrase into the private key or somehow get the private key out of coinomi so I can sweep it? Or is there a better way of doing it? Keep in mind I’m gonna be resetting my PC in between accessing coinomi and setting up electrum, so if I mess up, I won’t be able to access coinomi again. Sorry for the long post, just so many options. Thanks.

Bitcoin Miner malware, detected with Malware Bytes but I believe it's still hidden somewhere.

so a few days ago I did something stupid and tried to torrent a game for the first time and ended up installing a Bitcoin Miner onto my PC :/ It was very obvious that it was malware as it quickly seemed to hijack Google Chrome. I scanned with Windows Defender but nothing was found so I checked out the sticky post on here and got a trial of Malware Bytes, which detected the malware and quarantined it, then I removed it. I really thought it was that simple but I think it's still there. I had Spotify playing music on idle and got curious, did CTRL + ALT + DELETE to open up Task Manager and quickly saw my CPU % shoot down from 100% to 2% - %5, which is what it's been sitting at when I'm using it right now.
Other than that, there are a couple of weird things that make me think the virus is still there:
  1. Programs keep getting Suspended status in Task Manager (this is happening to Malware Bytes and Google Chrome), which never used to happen before. This a brand new PC I built in January so it shouldn't be doing this that often. I tried to open Malware Bytes now to scan again and it just froze on "Not Responding" and I can't seem to close it...
  2. There is a strange "Suspended" background process in Task Manager that uses up 3.6MB of memory. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like: http://prntscr.com/lchp1w :(
  3. When I right click ^ "open file location" on the suspended process and the 2 others below it, the location I get is C:\Windows\SysWOW64 and it's titled svchost.exe, which I read is a normal Windows process but there are A LOT of them running in my Task Manager right now
  4. All the other svchost.exes are under C:\Windows\System32, which I read is fine. Does this mean that the one in SysWOW64 is malware/infected?
As per the stickied thread, I ran rkill.com and turned on "scan for rootkits" in my Malware Bytes trial, and also ran the ADWCleaner. I did all of the above after I had originally removed the malware with Malware Bytes, so all these second scans didn't detect anything. Is there anything else I could do to actually detect the malware and remove it?
EDIT: Google Chrome keeps not responding, same with Malware Bytes. Can't uninstall Malware Bytes and Firefox stopped responding too. Writing this on my phone since I turned everything off briefly after writing this post, since my mouse started moving extremely slow and a repetitive beeping sound started coming out of my speakers. I swear it was like whatever infected me detected whenever I looked up information on malware removal and visited this subreddit ...

Just a friendly reminder

I had purchased Anthem in May and was having a rather bad experience due to bad performance. Low fps, crashes and all. I thought it the game that was crap because my other single player games were performing fairly good.
Turns out my pc had Bitcoin miner malware. I used malwarebyte to scan the remove and now game's performance has drastically improved. In case if you too are having similar problems with Anthem or any other games, do scan your pc for any malicious program.
