I sent Bitcoin from Blockchain and 12 hours later there are still no confirmations. I think it's because Blockchain put the transaction fee too low, is there anything I can do about this or do I just have to sit and wait? After a certain amount of time will the coins go back to my initial wallet?
KuCoin, a major cryptocurrency exchange based in Singapore, has confirmed a security breach of its ERC20, Ethereum, and Bitcoin hot wallets, with hackers reportedly stealing more than $150 million worth of crypto and transferred funds to an unknown wallet.
Bitcoins not showing up in wallet even though they showed up confirmed in blockchain
Let me preface this by saying I’m not a new bitcoin user, I’ve purchased bitcoin probably 50 times and have never really encountered any problems. Yesterday, I purchased $150 worth of bitcoin on LBC. The transaction went smoothly and I went to transfer the bitcoin to a wallet that I had never used before (rahakott). Looking into the account numbers blockchain, I can see that the funds were completely transferred in then transferred out even though they never showed in the wallet and the wallet has no history. Did the wallet scam me or is there some way I can recover these bitcoins? Any information would be appreciated, thanks. Conclusion: Rahakott shut down in August and if you find their wallets still available it’s safe to assume it’s a SCAM

How do you confirm the total amount of bitcoin in your wallet is legit ?
Hi there, As title states. When I login to ledger live, the portfolio tabs tells me that I have x number of bitcoin. How can I check that it’s not a placeholder number ? Is there a way to actually confirm that number ? For example, I can track all my transactions of eth on etherscan. I think ledger live generates a different BTC address every time the “receive” button is clicked so I’m kinda unsure right now.
If you buy bitcoin from an ATM machine, and it gets stuck at less than 6 confirmations in your wallet, is there some timeframe where if it's stuck for longer than x amount of time, it'll just never go through and get returned to sender (the ATM machine) and you'll just lose your money?
I've spent hours trying to search about this, and every question I've found seems to be about people stuck at zero confirmations. In my case, it did get 3 confirmations reasonably quickly, but then it just never got any more confirmations, it's just been stuck at 3 for like a day, and it needs to get to 6+ before I can actually use it in my wallet to spend it myself. I am fairly new to this stuff, so I was pretty freaked out when I read some stuff about how if a long enough timespan goes by (several days?) then if it is still stuck at less than (6? not sure how many) confirmations by that point, it'll just be a failed transaction and get returned to the sender. If that happens, I just lose all my money that I spent trying to buy the bitcoin from the bitcoin ATM machine, right? Because in this case it's not some human friend of mine I can go try again with, it's just some machine, so the machine/company gets its bitcoin back, and but I can't just go walk up to the machine and have it spit my cash back to me I assume. So, now I'm trying to figure out how many more hours or days I have left before that is going to happen. If it's been almost a day at this point, does that mean I have only a few hours left before I'm screwed? A few days? Weeks? EDIT Checked it on an explorer and looks like it must have been a bug with my wallet. It had a ton of confirmations on the explorer, so it was just the wallet giving me an incorrect status of 3 confirmations. Seems to be working now. Well, that was annoying. Ah well, lesson learned I guess

Someone please help. I sent the money I’ve put in to my wallet last night, or at least tried to. I had confirmation, but the money/bitcoin did not appear in my wallet. But the codes match. Has anyone had this problem? Am I completely screwed?!

More than 165 confirmations on our bitcoin transaction, but nothing on our binance wallet...
Hi everyone It's over 24 hours we are waiting for our bitcoin to arrive to Binance. Recently we made a transaction of bitcoins to Binance and then we saw pretty interesting thing. Here is the transaction id - 6914ca81b5594507d1f7ddf8cd1dc48f507a4347c1565ac12054e9bdccc9262f So what happens is that blockchain explorer shows that we received bitcoins. But then there is a second transaction that we never made... and our cryptos disappear? That second wallet, where btc moved after received on Binance is a wallet with bitcoins worth of over 20 mln usd? I guess it's related to Binance wallets? We cant bitcoins in our balance on Binance. The most interesting part is that we use 2fa authorisation and we never received any notification from binance about login to our account after we made a transaction, so I dont think it could be hack or similar thing. It's been over 24 hours we are waiting for our cryptos to arrive so I will be grateful for any suggestion about what it could be. Is it a problem on Binance side or what?
Im sure this has been covered on here lately but I just paid a measly .10 cents usd to send $100 worth of bitcoin from my Coinomi wallet to Coinbase and got 3 confirmations within 20 minutes. What has happened to make fees drop so dramatically from a couple of months ago?
If you are using any wallet other than Bitcoin Core 0.10.x or 0.9.5 (or something backed by one of those versions), then you should not trust incoming transactions until they have ~30 confirmations.
Latest update: The risk is somewhat reduced now, but forks lasting a few blocks could easily still happen. However, this situation isn't likely to get better any time soon, so I've unstickied this. Old update: Even though there is no active block chain fork as of this writing, the risk has not passed yet. Another fork is fairly likely. So you should still follow the advice in the title. When the risk is reduced or eliminated, this sticky will be replaced or removed. More info:
