How can I change dogecoin to bitcoin?

Hello, I want to change dogecoin to bitcoin, is it possible? I have a bitcoin wallet and a dogecoin wallet. Is there any site to make the conversion? If it's possible, I want trustable sites already used by the community.

What does this say? To me, it says that this coin was not only overhyped, it was and is completely overvalued as of this date. It has a near -90% ROI. In my opinion, that means early investors didn’t get what they were expecting, the pre-ICO team was way off base, and the valuation was done by persons inexperienced with the crypto space. It’s hard to see how the miss could have been so far off.
77% (approx.) of eligible buyers took advantage of the early refund process. This says a lot about confidence of returns. The auction schedule has changed which now favors early backers/relay nodes in a questionable manner. And there is no information as to the next auction which leaves relay nodes as one of the few mechanisms by which large amounts of coins are introduced into the market.
Billions of coins still need to enter the market and the process is to hold off on auctions and allow relay nodes and founders to stabilize the price via timing of the introduction of coins. In short, managed demand for a product that does not have the retail demand to move the price to near introduction price.
Wrapped Bitcoin had a 6 month head start and an almost 300% difference in ROI. as far as Zcash, we won’t go there. But it is interesting to note that it uses some of Micali’s work and Zooko Wilcox-O’Hearn did reference prior works by Micali re: the Goldwasser-Micali-Rivest Signature Scheme.
I may have to amend my prediction of ETH displacement by several years since it’s very unclear now as to when all coins will be in the market. Think about it, would you invest in a 401k that had a ROI of near -90% ? This isn’t FUD. Where most coins provided a reasonable valuation, Algorand for some odd reason had this ridiculous valuation which exposes the inexperience relative to the crypto space. “Let’s hire some folks, tell them what we FEEL it’s worth, and get some people to market it. Oops looks like we seriously overvalued this thing.”
Schedule the auctions back to the original timeline. Let the price be dictated by the market as it needs to be. This will generate the needed demand and the price/valuation will be corrected by market forces and not a select group. Sure some will lose, but some will gain in the sell off. There is no way to moon if a select group regulates the influx of coins without a competing mechanism.
This is not financial advice. Do your own research. This post is for entertainment purposes only.

Your Choice To Make

TL;DR: Wakey wakey, give a crap about freedom, or accept the consequences.
Another Sunday afternoon, another news item about Monero being delisted from a centralized exchange, this time in Australia.
Last year it was OKEx and others.
Just a few days ago it was Coinspot.
It is sort of an open secret that Coinbase is not listing Monero due to external pressures. Today we're hit with news that Kraken will be ceasing Monero trading for AU residents.
And you will also recall that Japan and South Korea have made similar moves.
It's a near impossibility with me, especially when powered by caffeine, which is most definitely the case today, but I will try to make this brief, sweet and to the point.
These are not isolated incidents. There is an International Organization™ in particular orchestrating, behind the scenes, the policies and requirements that financial institutions (crypto exchanges have since joined that category for this purpose) must follow, or else.
Here is what bothers me about this.
Have you been consulted about this? Anyone you know?
Heard of it in the news?
Yeah, me neither.
You have to know where to look to find some information on what they would like to see happening (we'll get to that in a moment), and often you have to read PDFs with dozens of pages to find the good stuff too.
I will leave that as an exercise to the reader. Suffice to say, I have been digging a bit deeper myself, and what I found shocked me.
FATF wants nothing less than the complete elimination of anonymity and privacy in financial affairs, even going so far as to consider BANNING peer to peer transactions so that people are forced to interact with each other through exchanges, where data collection is more reliable and certain, effectively obliterating one of the major selling points of cryptocurrency (p2p-ness) with complete disregard for the millions of people who are already onboard with the vision.
No privacy and no anonymity, imagine that.
Many of you probably already use plastic cards for everything, day in day out, and don't think too much about this stuff.
But the fact that an international organization that you have little to zero democratic control over is planning to get rid of class of financial tools that 99.99999% of people don't even realize exists yet should give you pause for concern.
The tools I speak of are, of course, digital cash-like cryptocurrencies like Monero.
I would like you to PAUSE, daydream a bit, visualize and imagine, what a world without zero financial privacy/anonymity would look like.
Consider, this has certainly not been the case in human history, ever -- yes, even today.
Today most of you still have cash as a choice. But what happens when that goes out of the window, and the only options are CBDCs, CorporateCoins, and transparent cryptocurrency ?
Needless to say, both in the case of CorporateCoins and CBDCs, there will be little to none privacy/anonymity, and even if there was (in the case of CorporateCoin), the state would obviously bully its way into it and force them to do otherwise (without being asked to do so, of course).
So, imagine that world.
Every donation you make. Every $50 transfer to a friend or family member. Every item you buy. Every service you purchase. Every money you send to help a friend you.
All of it stored, forever, to be accessed later at will for whatever reasons.
Would you make the same choices, knowing that your entire financial life is entirely exposed to powerful organizations of which you likely know very little about and almost certainly can hardly ever influence at all?
Does that seem like a good recipe for a free society?

Consequences

The people at the top either don't care about the consequences of what they're imposing worldwide, or they don't understand.
Sounds highly concerning to me either way - It comes down to either bullying or ignorance.
Would you ever have truly heart-to-heart conversations if you knew your worst enemy was potentially watching and recording everything?
Could you make passionate love knowing hundreds of strangers are analyzing your every move?
Can you be spontaneous knowing you are being recorded?
What if you did not have a choice in those matters ?!
What if someone has already decided for you, your friends, your family, your neighbors, your country, that you are all potential criminals and the thing to do is to keep records on everyone, just in case ?
Newsflash: It already happened.
It's been happening for awhile, and it seems to be picking up pace; the technology that was going to liberate us, slowly enslaving us instead -- because the general public largely does not understand the issues at hand, while the elite certainly does, and boy oh boy, are they thrilled with the technological advancements that help them cement their power.
What do I mean by cement?
Imagine trying to kick-start civil rights in a place where every social map is known, everything a person is interested in is known, every transaction they make is known, every website they have visited is known, every time they step on the street, an AI-powered camera automatically identifies them and tracks their movement.
You would be unable to organize. To exchange value. To discuss behind curtains, so to speak.
You would not have any privacy, and you would not have any anonymity.
Could you be free under these circumstances?

Conclusion

It's been a long road towards more freedom, but nowdays it is disappearing fast. Stopping to consider the implications is a most pressing issue.
They want Monero(-like tools) GONE because Monero ACTUALLY would change the paradigm.
By the time they are done with their "recommendations" (which really mean: comply, or else...), mark my words, there will be a name behind every Bitcoin address in some centralized database, query-able by partners in deciding who can and cannot use the system.
Merchants will be forced to perform chain analysis and by law they will be compelled to reject/refund/report transactions coming from "anonymous clusters" (addresses that are not known to have an identity tied to them).
This is what the normalization of the lack of privacy has brought us.
The possibility was there, and they took it. Of course they did.
I repeat, it is no accident that it's not Dogecoin and Nano, Bitcoin or Litecoin being delisted.
The star of the show (for better or for worse) is Monero, and that is because it works.
It lets you transact anonymously and privately, like cash - why the hell should FATF know that you sent $500 to your mother last week? in fact, why the hell should they know your entire financial history?!
When cash goes (and we can be fairly certain that it will be gone; would already be gone if this sort of authoritarian mindset had its way), Monero or tools like Monero, will become the only way to make any transaction outside the eyes of the state.
It's not because you have anything (nefarious) to hide. It's not because you're a criminal.
Rather, it's because to accept anything else is to bow to tyranny.
It's your choice to make - are you meekly going to accept that in perhaps less than a decade there will be zero privacy and anonymity in financial matters, or are you going to fight back?
Will you organize, campaign, email, discuss, spread awareness?
Will you spend precious summer Sunday afternoons writing for strangers on the Internet trying to help a few more see the major shit-show we're headed into?
Or will you be a good boy and do what you're told?
Tomorrow, by the way - if left unchallenged - it won't just be financial privacy that disappears.
One of the most prominent examples in the introductory part of this post (Australia) has already made quite clear that they don't like the fact that people can hide things from them (encryption).
In other words, either they know about it (and archive it forever), or you better let them know. After all, a threat - any threat! - could be lurking somewhere in that encrypted data. And you have nothing to hide anyway, yes?
This is a cryptocurrency sub though so let's not steer too far from that. It is important to remember that ultimately the issue is the same though - totalitarian control over everyone's life; mass-surveillance, and the ability to rewind and see someone's entire life exposed for the benefit of the state.
Their actions are letting you know what really works and what really threatens the status quo. That is useful information.
If you care at all about the freedom and privacy of your future self, your friends and family, children present or future, I think you would do well to think long and hard about these issues.
Because the direction assumed by the most prominent regulators seems to be headed in a uniform direction - that is no surprise, seeing as how they meet with each other.
You have to ask yourself though, is this for your benefit, your safety?
Or is it to keep the statuo quo?
How would the world be different if human beings - regardless of color, nationality, age, sexual orientation, political beliefs- with an Internet connection could freely exchange value privately and anonymously (the way we can still communicate private and anonymously in most places today - though not so in authoritarian places like China, AND THAT IS NOT A COINCIDENCE)?
It would be instant, like an instant message. It would cost very little.
Well, I have news for you: It's already possible, and a growing number of people are realizing this.
This tool is called Monero. It exists today, and the cat is out of the bag. The technology will only get better, and more interesting tools may even come along later.
In fact, barring mass persecution of open-source developers, that is very likely what is going to happen, as ultrasmart people everywhere congregate in virtual spaces to discuss better ways to do stuff.
If we keep losing our right to be left alone until suspected of a crime, life will increasingly come to resemble what the regulator types are - consciously or unconsciously - creating: a Panopticon society.
If you don't speak up, then the decision has already been made - and you're probably going to live to regret being complicit in it.
Freedom or Tyranny. It's your choice to make.
p.s: Yes, totally failed at making this short. I guess it's just not my thing.

I bought $1k of the Top 10 Cryptos on January 1st, 2020 (July Update)

I bought $1k of the Top 10 Cryptos on January 1st, 2020 (July Update)
EXPERIMENT - Tracking Top 10 Cryptos of 2020 - Month 7 +71%
See the full blog post with all the nerdy tables here. If you're just joining us, this probably isn't what you think it is: it's more of a documentary than investing advice. See the rules of the Experiments here.
tl;dr: As of the end of July, the 2020 Top Ten Cryptos were up +71%. ETH best performer in July followed by XRP and BSV. Overall since Jan 2020: ETH moves into first place, followed by BSV. 100% of 2020 Top Ten are in positive territory, all ahead of Tether.
Over three years, July 2020 is the first month that the combined crypto Top Ten Portfolios have outperformed a hypothetical same approach with the S&P. Details:

Month Seven – UP 71%

https://preview.redd.it/iiyifztdzrg51.png?width=1132&format=png&auto=webp&s=8fc7a653bd058f4664ad6443b590e368c58167fc
Last month, I warned the 2020 Top Ten to watch its back. After being ahead most of the year, the 2020 Top Ten has officially lost its status as the best performing of the Top Ten “Index Fund” Experiments. Up +71% as of July, the 2019 Top Ten is now second to the 2019 Top Ten, which is up…. +72%.

Question of the month:

Which cryptocurrency surged in value after a TikTok challenge that encouraged users to buy went viral?

A) Dogecoin B) Chainlink C) Bitcoin D) Ethereum
Scroll down for the answer.

Ranking and June Winners and Losers

2020 Top Ten Rank
Another month of mostly downward movement: the “T”s (Tether and Tezos) both fell one spot. BNB dropped two spots and now is at the very edge of the Top Ten. XRP climbed one in the rankings, taking back third place from Tether. Regardless of how you feel about XRP, it was a bad sign to many crypto observers to find a stablcoin in the Top Three last month (no offense meant, USDT).
July WinnersETH, up a massive +55% in July. XRP and BSV tied for second place, both up +52% on the month.
July LosersTether. The second worst performing crypto, Tezos, finished the month up +19%.
Since COVID has hammered the sporting world, let’s be overly competitive and pit these cryptos against themselves, shall we? Here’s a table showing which cryptos have the most monthly wins and losses at this point in the experiment. In a three way tie for first place we have ETH, Tether, and Tezos, each with two Ws. BSV and Tether have the most Ls – both have finished in last place three out of the first seven months of the 2020 Top Ten Experiment.

Overall update – ETH moves into first place, followed by BSV. 100% of Top Ten are in positive territory.

Ethereum has moved into a commanding lead, up +177% on the year, followed by BSV, up +141%. After three straight months in the lead, Tezos fell hard in July, now sitting in third place (although still up an impressive +124% in 2020). Discounting Tether (again, no offense Big-T), EOS (+27%) is the worst performing cryptocurrency of the 2020 Top Ten portfolio. 100% of the cryptos in this group are either flat or in positive territory.

Total Market Cap for the cryptocurrency sector:

The overall crypto market gained more than $80B in July, and is now up over +80% since the beginning of this year’s experiment in January 2020.

Bitcoin dominance:

BitDom
BitDom finally budged: it fell about 2.5% percent to land at 62.3%, signaling a greater appetite for altcoins this month. The range up to this point in the year has been roughly 62% to 68%.

Overall return on investment since January 1st, 2020:

After an initial $1000 investment, the 2020 Top Ten Portfolio is now worth $1,713, up +71%. It is no longer the best performing of the three Top Ten Crypto Index Fund Portfolios, but isn’t too far behind: the 2019 group came in at +72% in July.
Here’s the month by month ROI of the 2020 Top Ten Experiment, hopefully helpful to maintain perspective and provide an overview as we go along:
ROI, month by month
Besides the zombie apocalypse blip in March, so far so good: all green is good to see and a nice change from the all red table you’ll see in the 2018 experiment. The range of monthly ROI for the 2020 Top Ten has been between +7% in March and +71% in July.
So, how does the 2020 Top Ten Experiment compare to the parallel projects?
Taken together, here’s the bottom bottom bottom line:
After a $3000 investment in the 2018, 2019, and 2020 Top Ten Cryptocurrencies, my combined portfolios are worth $3,695‬ ($260+ $1,722 +$1,713).
That’s up about +23% for the three combined portfolios, compared to -10% last month. It also marks the highest ROI of the three combined portfolios since I started keeping track in January 2020. The previous high was +13% back in January 2020.
Lost in the numbers? Here’s a new table to help visualize the progress of the combined portfolios:
Combined $3k ROI
That’s a +23% gain by buying $1k of the cryptos that happened to be in the Top Ten on January 1st, 2018, 2019, and 2020.
But what if I’d gone all in on only one Top Ten crypto for the past three years? While most have come and gone over the life of the experiment, five cryptos have remained in Top Ten for all three years: BTC, ETH, XRP, BCH, and LTC. Let’s take a look at those five:

ETH then BTC well in front
There you have it: Ethereum (+98%) would have returned the most at this point, followed closely by BTC (+88%). Following this approach with XRP, I would have been down -23%. Many thanks to Reddit user u/sebikun for the idea for a new metric.
So that’s the Top Ten Crypto Index Fund Experiments snapshot. Let’s take a look at how traditional markets are doing.

Comparison to S&P 500

I’m also tracking the S&P 500 as part of my experiment to have a comparison point to traditional markets. Even with no end to the COVID pandemic in sight, the S&P continued its recovery. In July it moved into positive territory for the year.
S&P breaks even
Over the same time period, the 2020 Top Ten Crypto Portfolio is returning about +71%. The initial $1k investment in crypto is now worth about $1,713.
The money I put into crypto in January 2020 would be worth $1010 had it been redirected to the S&P 500. That’s a $703 difference on a $1k investment, the largest gap in favor of crypto all year.
But that’s just 2020. What if I invested in the S&P 500 the same way I did during the first three years of the Top Ten Crypto Index Fund Experiments? What I like to call the world’s slowest dollar cost averaging method? Here are the figures:
  • $1000 investment in S&P 500 on January 1st, 2018: +$220
  • $1000 investment in S&P 500 on January 1st, 2019: +$310
  • $1000 investment in S&P 500 on January 1st, 2020: +$10
Taken together, here’s the bottom bottom bottom line for a similar approach with the S&P:
After three $1,000 investments into an S&P 500 index fund in January 2018, 2019, and 2020, my portfolio would be worth $3,540.
That $3,540 is up over +18% since January 2018, compared to a +23% gain of the combined Top Ten Crypto Experiment Portfolios over the same period of time.
Do you know what that means? That means we have a first this month: a 5% swing in favor of the Top Ten Crypto Portfolios!
As you’ll see in the table below, this is the first time since I started recording this metric that crypto has outperformed a hypothetical identical investment in the S&P. This is a big turnaround from the 22% difference in favor of the S&P just last month.
Crypto takes the lead

Implications/Observations:

The crypto market as a whole is up +81% since the beginning of the year compared to the 2020 Top Ten Portfolio which has gained +71%. For the third month in a row, focusing on the Top Ten cryptos has yielded less than the overall market.
This approach has seen mixed results with the 2020 group. For the first four months, the Top Ten outperformed the market as a whole. This was a bit of a surprise, as this strategy did not work out very well in the other experiment years. Although there are a few examples of the Top Ten strategy outperforming the overall market in the 2019 Top Ten Experiment, it’s interesting to note at no point in the first thirty-one months of the Top Ten 2018 Experiment has the approach of focusing on the Top Ten cryptos outperformed the overall market. Not even once.

Conclusion:

July was undoubtedly a strong month in crypto. Where do we go from here? Do we consolidate for a time, fall back down, or continue the ascent? Will Bitcoin dominance continue to decline as altcoins receive more attention?
Final word: Please take care of yourselves and your neighbors. FYI – everyone is your neighbor.
Thanks for reading and for supporting the experiment. I hope you’ve found it helpful. I continue to be committed to seeing this process through and reporting along the way. Feel free to reach out with any questions and stay tuned for progress reports. Keep an eye out for the original 2018 Top Ten Crypto Index Fund Experiment and the 2019 Top Ten Experiment follow up experiment.

And the Answer is…

A) Dogecoin
Much wow. A TikTok viral challenge drove up the price of Doge nearly 100% in early July.

Can Blockchain Gaming Drive Cryptocurrency Adoption?

Can Blockchain Gaming Drive Cryptocurrency Adoption?
The gaming industry, with its approximately 2.5 billion gamers worldwide, is a lucrative target and an immense field of application for blockchain itself, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies that could no doubt give a mighty push toward taking and making the technology mainstream. Honestly, this is not quite a news as the efforts to establish cryptocurrencies in the entertainment sector have gone a long way, with varying degrees of success.
by StealthEX
What they were, how it fared, and where things are going now – these questions deserve their own inquiry. So let’s take a look at how gaming facilitates cryptocurrency adoption, in what ways, and whether exposing the blockchain tech to a user base of a third of the world’s population would help oil the wheels of this sportster in a major way and ultimately cause a tectonic shift in the gaming industry itself.

A Little Bit of History

As Bitcoin kicked off in late 2008, with its first transaction hitting, or effectively starting, the blockchain in early January of 2009, it had taken well over two years till the cryptocurrency got involved in online gambling. It was the now-defunct mobile poker platform, Switchpoker, a developer of an online poker room that started to accept Bitcoin as a deposit and payment option. You can still find a topic on Bitcointalk.org about this news dated back to November 23, 2011.
In April 2012, Erik Voorhees, an American entrepreneur and early Bitcoin adopter, founded Satoshi Dice, arguably the oldest online cryptocasino on the block, which is still pretty much alive today, although Voorhees sold it in a year. What makes it truly intriguing is the fact that during its early years the casino was generating half of all the transactions on the Bitcoin network. In short, online gambling was critically important in Bitcoin’s infancy years as it helped promote cryptocurrency awareness that led to future growth and expansion into other areas.
Some folks are certainly going to argue that gambling is not the same thing as gaming. The commonly accepted view is that gaming is based on skill while gambling on chance. We won’t debate over this point. However, as every poker player knows, the outcome of a poker game depends not only on luck, but also on skill and expertise. Put simply, there are large gray areas and overlaps. All things considered, our exposition would be missing a big chunk of significant history without giving due credit to gambling and how it helped Bitcoin adoption.
Now that online gambling is off our chest, we can safely turn to gaming as it is understood in the industry, and look at how it helped the blockchain space. One of the first uses of Bitcoin in a major game that we are aware of started in 2014 with the launch of BitQuest, a Minecraft server that used Bitcoin for in-game transactions. Within the gaming environment you could buy valuable in-game stuff from other users with the so-called bits, small fractions of a Bitcoin, and earn them by completing in-game tasks or challenges like killing local monsters.
BitQuest closed the server in summer of 2019, and its brand name now belongs to a different entity not involved with gaming, but it still produced an impact. In essence, this effort successfully demonstrated how a cryptocurrency, in this case Bitcoin, can be used in lieu of a native in-game currency that players can earn, buy and spend as well as withdraw. This has serious implications for two main reasons. First, Bitcoin, unlike any other purely in-game currency, has uses outside the game and its ecosystem, and, second, its supply cannot be manipulated by the game developers, which makes the game by far more fair and square.
Needless to say, the example that BitQuest had set encouraged other market participants to look into Bitcoin as an alternative option for in-game currencies. Another popular Minecraft server, PlayMC, also introduced Bitcoin into its world in 2015, but ceased the operation just two years later. There were a few other servers experimenting with altcoins, more specifically, Dogecoin, but most of them disappeared from the scene shortly thereafter, failing to attract enough die-hard Minecraft fans.

What Has Changed?

With the arrival of smart contract-enabled blockchains such as Ethereum, EOS and TRON, the phrase “blockchain gaming” has taken on a more literal meaning as these blockchains allow games to be designed and played entirely on-chain in much the same manner trades are made on a decentralized exchange. While TRON stands for “The Real-time Operating system Nucleus”, there is an obvious reference to a once popular arcade game based on a titular 1982 science fiction film that ultimately garnered a cult following.
CryptoKitties is likely the most popular game ever released in the Ethereum ecosystem and probably in the whole crypto space so far. Its test version was made available on October 19, 2017, and it was an instant success. By the end of 2017 over 200,000 people signed up for the game, spending over $20 million in Ether. We won’t delve into its “gameplay” as it is beyond the scope of this article, and most certainly you are well familiar with it anyway. But what we absolutely should write about is the effect it made and the repercussions it produced.
It could be said that CryptoKitties was to the Ethereum blockchain what Satoshi Dice had been to Bitcoin in the early days of crypto. At the peak of its popularity the game reportedly accounted for 20-25% of all Ethereum’s traffic that clogged the entire Ethereum network, with transaction fees skyrocketing. No wonder lots of people got pissed off with this turn of events. However, despite all the rage and fury, CryptoKitties amply demonstrated what a success means in the blockchain gaming field, how it looks and feels in practice.
It is hard to estimate how much CryptoKitties contributed to cryptocurrency adoption. But given that a few hundred thousand people got involved in this game alone and many more with dozens of blockchain games that it has spawned, like Etherbots, Gods Unchained, The Six Dragons, etc, this indisputable triumph surely counts as a massive contribution by any definition or metric. Moreover, it also revealed the weaknesses of the contemporary blockchain solutions and what exactly should be done to overcome them.
Evolution never goes linearly. In fact, it generally doesn’t go in curves, circles, or zig zags, either. It always moves along very diverse routes, directions and entire dimensions like plants and animals, viruses and bacteria, and, well, dinosaurs and mammals. The evolution of gaming in crypto space is no different. СryptoKitties and other games share essentially the same tech under the hood – building games on some advanced general-purpose blockchain such as Ethereum. But it is not the only front that crypto gaming has been advancing on, nor is it the only way to introduce gaming to cryptocurrencies, and vice versa.
A more recent approach is based on designing either a standalone cryptocurrency or a token on a smart contract-enabled blockchain to be used across many games that support it as an in-game currency. As a result, gamers can enjoy true ownership of their in-game assets (the so-called non-fungible tokens, or NFTs), safe item trading outside the game, and cross-game compatibility. This path has been taken by such projects as Enjin (ENJ), GAME Credits (GAME), Decentraland (MANA), WAX (WAXP) and others, with their respective cryptocurrencies fueling a range of games.
A somewhat different avenue is taken by Funfair (FUN), Chromia (CHR) and Lucid Sight, which are offering platforms that blockchain games can be built on. Thus, Lucid Sight’s Scarcity Engine is focused more on game creators than end users, that is to say, gamers, allowing developers to integrate blockchain into their games. It aims to obliterate the difference between blockchain-based games and traditional gaming platforms. Funfair, on the other hand, leans more toward creating custom-built blockchain casinos, with its FUN token as a casino “chip”. So much for no more gambling, huh.
Our account of events would be incomplete if we didn’t mention yet another attempt to make use of Minecraft for the purpose of introducing cryptocurrencies to the gaming public. This time, a new Minecraft mod called SatoshiQuest has emerged. To participate in it, the gamers pay $1 in Bitcoin and get one in-game life. The pooled coins make up the loot, and the challenge is to find a minimum of 400 key fragments into which the keys to the Bitcoin wallet containing the prize are divided. And who said that evolution doesn’t loop?

Challenges and Future Prospects

The knockout popularity of СryptoKitties has clearly shown the scale of cryptocurrency mass adoption that blockchain gaming can trigger. As the game developers themselves put it, their “goal is to drive mainstream adoption of blockchain technology”. They believe that “the technology has immense benefits for consumers, but for those benefits to be realized, it needs to be experienced to be understood”. Speaking more broadly, as more people start using cryptocurrencies for gaming, they may eventually become interested in using their coins for purposes other than playing one game or another.
With that said, it is now as clear that there are two main barriers on the way there. The first is the limitations of the blockchain tech itself that essentially limits blockchain gaming to NFTs, in-game currencies, streamlined payments, and similar stuff. This is mostly a technical challenge anyway, and we could realistically expect it to be solved sooner or later. The other issue is applicable to the gaming industry as a whole. People en masse would only play games that are truly engaging and immersive, technical issues aside.
So the bottom line is that we need the convergence of these two vectors to make blockchain a dominating force in the gaming industry. First, the blockchain tech should have the capacity for running multiplayer games that major video game developers like Blizzard, Valve and Ubisoft produce, no trade-offs here. Then, we actually need the games like Warcraft, Counter-Strike or Far Cry that can be played on blockchain, to make it matter. Only after we get there, the gaming industry will likely become a primary driver behind cryptocurrency adoption.

How does cryptocurrency works?

How does cryptocurrency works?
When we were a much smaller society, people could trade in the community pretty easily, but as the distance in our trade grew, we ended up inventing institutions such as banks, markets, stocks etc. that help us to conduct financial transactions. The currencies we are operating with nowadays are bills or coins, controlled by a centralized authority and tracked by previously mentioned financial institutions. The thing is, having a third party in our money transactions is not always what we wish for. But fortunately, today we have a tool that allows us to make fast and save financial transactions without any middlemen, it has no central authority and it is regulated by math. Sounds cool, right? Cryptocurrency is this tool. It is quite a peculiar system, so let’s take a closer look at it.
by StealthEX

Layers of a crypto-cake

Layer 1: Blockchain

First of all – any cryptocurrency is based on the blockchain. In simple words, blockchain is a kind of a database. It stores information in batches, called blocks that are linked together in a chronological way. As the blockchain is not located in one place but rather on thousands of computers around the globe, the blockchain and the transactions thus are decentralized, they have no head center. The newest blocks of transaction are continuously added on (or changed) to all the previous blocks. That’s how you get a cryptocurrency blockchain.
The technology’s name is a compound of the words “block” and “chain”, as the “blocks” of information are linked together in a “chain”. That’s how crypto security works – the information in the recently created block depends on the previous one. It means that no block can be changed without affecting the others, this system prevents a blockchain from being hacked.
There are 2 kinds of blockchain: private and public. Public, as goes by its name, is publicly available blockchain, whereas private blockchain is permissioned, which only a limited number of people have access to.

Layer 2: Transaction

In fact, everything begins with the intention of someone to complete a transaction. A transaction itself is a file that consists of the sender’s and recipient’s public keys (wallet addresses) and the amount of coins transferred. The sender begins by logging in into his cryptocurrency wallet with the private key – a unique combination of letters and numbers, something you would call a personal password in a bank. Now the transaction is signed and the first step which is called basic public key cryptography is completed.
Then the signed (encrypted) transaction is shared with everyone in the cryptocurrency network, meaning it gets to every other peer. We should mention that the transaction is firstly queued up to be added to the public ledger. Then, when it’s broadcasted to the public ledger, all the computers add a new transaction to a shared list of recent transactions, known as blocks.
Having a ledger forces everyone to “play fair” and reduce the risk of spending extra. The numbers of transactions are publicly available, but the information about senders and receivers is encrypted. Each transaction holds on to a unique set of keys. Whoever owns a set of keys, owns the amount of cryptocurrency associated with those keys (just like whoever owns a bank account owns the money in it). This is how peer-to-peer technology works.

Layer 3: Mining

Now let’s talk about mining. Once confirmed, the transaction is forever captured into the blockchain history**.** The verification of the block is done by Cryptocurrency Miners – they verify and then add blocks to the public ledger. To verify them, miners go down on the road of solving a very difficult math puzzle using powerful software, which is that the computer needs to produce the correct sequence number – “hash” – that is specific to the given block, there is not much chance of finding it. Whoever solves the puzzle first, gets the opportunity to officially add a block of transactions to the ledger and get fresh and new coins as reward. The reward is given in whatever cryptocurrency’s blockchain miners are operating into. For example, BTC originally used to reward miners in 50 BTC, but after the first halving it decreased to 25 BTC, and at present time it is 6.25 BTC. The process of miners competing against each other in order to complete the transactions on the network and get rewarded is known as the Proof-of-Work (PoW) algorithm, which is natural for BTC and many other cryptocurrencies. Also there are another consensus mechanisms: Proof-of-Stake (PoS), Delegated Proof-of-Stake (dPoS), Proof-of-Authority (PoA), Byzantine Fault Tolerance (BFT), Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (pBFT), Federated Byzantine Agreement (FBA) and Delegated Byzantine Fault Tolerance (dBFT). Still, all of them are used to facilitate an agreement between network participants.
The way that system works – when many computers try to verify a block – guarantees that no computer is going to monopolize a cryptocurrency market. To ensure the competition stays fair, the puzzle becomes harder as more computers join in. Summing it up, let’s say that mining is responsible for two aspects of the crypto mechanism: producing the proof and allowing more coins to enter circulation.

Types of cryptocurrency

In the virtual currency world there are a bunch of different cryptocurrency types with their own distinctive features.
The first cryptocurrency is, of course, Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the first crypto coin ever created and used. BTC is the most liquid cryptocurrency in the market and has the highest market cap among all the cryptocurrencies.

Altcoins

The term ‘altcoins’ means ‘alternatives’ of Bitcoin. The first altcoin Namecoin was created in 2011 and later on hundreds of them appeared in crypto-world, among them are Ravencoin, Dogecoin, Litecoin, Syscoin etc. Altcoins were initially launched with a purpose to overcome Bitcoin’s weak points and become upgraded substitutes of Bitcoin. Altcoins usually stand an independent blockchain and have their own miners and wallets. Some altcoins actually have boosted features yet none of them gained popularity akin to Bitcoin. More about altcoins in our article.

Tokens

Token is a unit of account that is used to represent the digital balance of an asset. Basically tokens represent an asset or utility that usually are made on another blockchain. Tokens are registered in a database based on blockchain technology, and they are accessed through special applications using electronic signature schemes.
Tokens and cryptocurrencies are not the same thing. Let’s explain it more detailed:
• First of all, unlike cryptocurrencies, tokens can be issued and managed both centralized and decentralized.
• The verification of the token transactions can be conducted both centralized and decentralized, when cryptocurrencies’ verification is only decentralized.
• Tokens do not necessarily run their own blockchain, but for cryptocurrencies having their own blockchain is compulsory.
• Tokens’ prices can be affected by a vast range of factors such as demand and supply, tokens’ additional emission, or binding to other assets. On the other hand, the price of cryptocurrencies is completely regulated by the market.
Tokens can be:
• Utility tokens – something that accesses a user to a product or service and support dApps built on the blockchain.
• Governance tokens – fuel for voting systems executed on the blockchain.
• Transactional tokens – serve as a unit of accounts and used for trading.
• Security tokens – represent legal ownership of an asset, can be used in addition to or in place of a password.
Tokens are usually created through smart contracts and are often adapted to an ICO – initial coin offering, which is a means of crowdfunding. It is much easier to create tokens, that is why they make a majority of coins in existence. Altcoin and token blockchains work on the concept of smart contracts or decentralized applications, where the programmable, self-executing code is ruling the transactions within a blockchain. By the way, the vast majority of tokens were distributed on the Ethereum platform.

Forks

Generally a fork occurs when a protocol code, on which the blockchain is operating, is being changed, modified and updated by developers or users. Due to the changes, the blockchain splits into 2 paths: an old way of doing things and a new way. These changes may happen because: a disagreement between users and creators; a major hack, as it was with Ethereum; developers’ decision to fix errors and add new functionality. The blockchain mainly splits into hard forks and soft forks. Shortly speaking, coin hard forks cannot work with older versions while soft forks still can work with older versions.
Hard fork – after a hard fork, a new version is completely separated from the previous one, there’s no connection between them anymore, although the new version keeps the data of all the previous transactions but now on, each version will have its own transaction history. In order to use the new versions, every node has to upgrade their software. A hard fork requires majority support (or consensus) from coin holders with a connection to the coin network. If enough users don’t update then you will be unable to get a clean upgrade which could lead to a break in the blockchain.
Soft fork – a protocol change, but with backward compatibility. The rules of the network have been changed, but nodes running the old software will still be able to validate transactions, but those updated nodes won’t be able to mine new blocks. So to be used and useful, soft forks require the majority of the network’s hash power. Otherwise, they risk becoming set out and anyway ending up as a hard fork.

Stablecoins

As it comes from the name, stablecoins are price-stabilized that are becoming big in the crypto world. Still enjoying most of the “typical-cryptocurrency” benefits, it is standing out as a fixed and stable coin, not volatile at all. Stablecoins’ values are stabilized by pegging them to other assets such as the US Dollar or gold.
Stablecoins include Tether (USDT), Standard (PAX), Gemini Dollar (GUSD) which are backed by the US Dollar and approved by the New York State Department of Financial Services.

Conclusion

Now that we hacked into cryptocurrency, you probably understand that it is much less mysterious than it first seemed. Nowadays, cryptocurrencies are making the revolution of the financial institution. For example, Bitcoin is currently used in 96 countries and growing, with more than 12,000 transactions per hour. More and more investors are involved, banks and governments realize that these cutting edge technologies are prone to draw their control away. Cryptocurrencies are slowly changing the world and you can choose – either stand beside and observe or become part of history in the making.

NewEnglandcoin has dogecoin like supply at 84 billion maximum NENG. This huge supply insures that NENG is suitable for retail transactions and daily use. The inflation schedule of NengEnglandcoin is actually identical to that of Litecoin. Bitcoin and Litecoin are already proven to be great long term store of value. The Litecoin-like NENG inflation schedule will make NewEnglandcoin ideal for long term investment appreciation as the supply is limited and capped at a fixed number
Bitcoin Fork - Suitable for Home Hobbyists
NewEnglandcoin core wallet continues to maintain version tag of "Satoshi v0.8.7.5" because NewEnglandcoin is very much an exact clone of bitcoin plus some mining feature changes with DynDiff algorithm. NewEnglandcoin is very suitable as lite version of bitcoin for educational purpose on desktop mining, full node running and bitcoin programming using bitcoin-json APIs.
The NewEnglandcoin (NENG) mining algorithm original upgrade ideas were mainly designed for decentralization of mining rigs on scrypt, which is same algo as litecoin/dogecoin. The way it is going now is that NENG is very suitable for bitcoin/litecoin/dogecoin hobbyists who can not , will not spend huge money to run noisy ASIC/GPU mining equipments, but still want to mine NENG at home with quiet simple CPU/GPU or with a cheap ASIC like FutureBit Moonlander 2 USB or Apollo pod on solo mining setup to obtain very decent profitable results. NENG allows bitcoin litecoin hobbyists to experience full node running, solo mining, CPU/GPU/ASIC for a fun experience at home at cheap cost without breaking bank on equipment or electricity.

Decentralization and Community Driven NewEnglandcoin is a decentralized coin just like bitcoin. There is no boss on NewEnglandcoin. Nobody nor the dev owns NENG.
We know a coin is worth nothing if there is no backing from community. Therefore, we as dev do not intend to make decision on this coin solely by ourselves. It is our expectation that NewEnglandcoin community will make majority of decisions on direction of this coin from now on. We as dev merely view our-self as coin creater and technical support of this coin while providing NENG a permanent home at ShorelineCrypto Exchange.

ASIC/GPU Mining Pools Warning to Big ASIC Miners Due to DynDiff Algo on top of Scrypt, solo mining is recommended for ASIC/GPU miners. Further more, even for mining pools, small mining pool will generate better performance than big NENG mining pool because of new algo v1.2.x post hard fork.
The set up configuration of NENG for scrypt pool mining is same as a typical normal scrypt coin. In other word, DynDiff on Scrypt algo is backward compatible with Scrypt algo. Because ASIC/GPU miners rely on CPU miners for smooth blockchain movement, checkout bottom of "Latest News" section for A WARNING to All ASIC miners before you decide to dump big ASIC hash rate into NENG mining.
(1) Original DynDiff Warning: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5027091.msg48324708#msg48324708 (2) New Warning on RandomSpike Spike difficulty (244k) introduced in RandomSpike served as roadblocks to instant mining and provide security against 51% attack risk. However, this spike difficulty like a roadblock that makes big ASIC mining less profitable. In case of spike block to be mined, the spike difficulty immediately serve as base difficulty, which will block GPU/ASIC miners effectively and leave CPU cheetah solo miners dominating mining almost 100% until next base difficulty reset.

Earning money with Bitcoins: “QashBits”!

One of the latest innovations in the cryptocurrency faucet sector. A site with a classic structure to earn money with Bitcoins.
In this article we will talk again about a direct faucet that will make you earn money with Bitcoins by means of a proven structure, very similar to that of the faucet described in a previous article. QuashBits is shown with a main screen always made up of 2 menus, one at the top and one on the side, all well organized. To register, use a personal Bitcoin address also registered on FaucetPay.

Earning money with Bitcoins
Let's now proceed with the list of components of the central menu.

EARN BITS, earn Bitcoin:
- Faucet, which takes you back to the dashboard, is the classic claim that can be made every 60 minutes. The cryptocurrencies earned are called Bits and the award released will depend on the Lucky Number obtained. Occasionally some pop-up pages may open.

- Shortlinks, divided in turn into 2 submenus. Visit Shortlinks, whose links lead to advertising pages in which one or more Captchas must be resolved, which is why they notoriously pay more than the classic Claim. Pop-up pages may open. Shortlinks Contest instead shows the weekly ranking of users who have solved the highest number of Shortlinks.

- PTC Ads, this section is now inevitable on faucet sites and allows you to earn crypto by viewing advertising pages. It is not mandatory to keep the mouse on the page as it will be sufficient to let the required time pass. The main tool for earning money with Bitcoins.

- Jobs, an interesting section where you are rewarded very well by performing "social" tasks. Definitely recommended for its originality.

- Referrals, where you will be shown your referrals URL. You will get, with the basic subscription, from your subscribers a 10% on all claims. The percentages will increase by subscribing to a higher Membership subscription.

- Achievements displays the list of rewards that are received after reaching a certain number of Claims and Shortlinks, dedicated to large users of faucets.

- CPU Mining, where you will be paid 1 Bit every 60000 Hash. Recommended only for those with powerful enough PCs.

- Investment Game, practically a bet on the Bitcoin trend in the next 5 minutes after your bet. You will be free to invest the desired amount.

- Redeem coupon, if you have a code to use as a coupon. You will be given a small amount of crypto as a gift.

Not just EARNS:
MEMBERSHIP, various paid membership levels that will increase your earnings percentages.

LOTTERY, the BitsFree lottery. The cost of the ticket is 100 Bits / Satoshi.

CONTESTS, which each month will reward users with the highest number of subscribers and the largest amount of Shortlinks and Offers completed.

OFFERS, which includes surveys, bonuses for viewing videos and the most varied tasks. Several Dogecoins will be obtained but not always proportionate to the time spent since the surveys have a very low percentage of reliability.

BLOG, the section with the latest news on BitsFree.

MORE, in turn divided into several parts:

- Account settings, in which to enter the Bitcoin or FaucetPay address to which to transfer the balance and change the registration email and password.

- Withdrawals History and Deposits History, shows the last 25 transfers to your external wallets and all the deposits made on the site.

The side menu
The menu on the left contains many links to the sections previously described. From top to bottom you can change your account details, exit the site (Logout) or make the transfer (Withdraw). Just below the Bitcoin countervalue of the Bits you have available on the site is shown. Following is the Advertise section which offers the opportunity to earn crypto through links and banners directly on your site. This is a paid service and using the Deposit button you can send the funds you want to dedicate to it.

Even further below, your referral URL.

In the lower part of the dashboard, the left part is dedicated to all the information on crypto (Bits) earned while the right part allows, thanks to the Share button, to share your referral URL on major social networks.

We remind you that the transfer of earned Bits (Withdraw) can be converted into Bitcoin on your personal wallet or on FaucetPay. The minimum threshold in the first case is 50,000 Satoshi while for the second it is 4000 Satoshi.

See you soon for a new article on how to earn Bitcoins!

Earn cryptocurrencies with FaucetPay Microwallet

With the departure of FaucetHub, there are currently 2 Faucet aggregator sites on the market. In this article we will explain how to earn cryptocurrencies with Faucetpay.
First of two articles dedicated to the portals on which most of the faucet sites rely. The next will be focused on Express Crypto while for FaucetPanel we prefer to wait for its greater use. Before proceeding with reading and starting to earn cryptocurrencies with FaucetPay, we recommend that you sign up immediately.

After logging in, you will be directed to the main Dashboard. The menu is very complete and we will try to describe it quickly but in detail.

The Dashboard

The Dashboard, where you will initially find yourself, is divided into User Dashboard and Faucet Owner Dashboard. Through the F.O.D. you can connect your faucet site, if you have one, and use its functions for the movement of funds and generated earnings. The U.D. is in turn composed of the following items:
- Overview, which shows the current balance of the 6 cryptocurrencies supported by FaucetPay (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash and Dash), some daily information (dollars earned, payments received and faucets visited) and the updated list of all amounts you earned including site of origin and date.

Earn cryptocurrencies with FaucetPay
- Statistics, the total earned of each cryptocurrency during the current month

- Linked Addresses, here you will need to enter the connection addresses to the four cryptocurrencies (even more than one for each of them) that you can subsequently use on all faucets that rely on FaucetPay. For convenience, we have entered those generated by the Exodus multi-currency wallet.

- Deposit, the deposit addresses provided by Faucetpay to be used for sending funds on the site.

- Withdraw, the section dedicated to transfers to your personal wallets. From the drop-down menus, select the crypto, one of the linked wallet addresses and the amount to be transferred. Just below, the history of all mailings made will be shown.

The other menus'
Earn, shows the methods to earn cryptocurrencies with FaucetPay offered. We report them below:

- Faucet List, four long lists (one for each supported cryptocurrency) of faucet sites connected to FaucetPay provided with direct links to each of them. However, many are disappointing ones. Follow our articles dedicated only to the best and most updated among them.

- Rock Paper Scissors, here you will have to look for an opponent to bet against to play the classic Chinese morra.

- Offerwall, the unmissable section full of surveys and tasks to perform to earn cryptocurrencies with FaucetPay in many different ways.

- Paid To Click, by displaying advertisements on the active screen, small quantities of Satoshi will be obtained in exchange

Multiply BTC, another of the more classic sections of faucet sites in which you will have to bet by trying to guess if the number that will come out will be higher or lower than that predetermined by the many options offered here.

Exchange, Faucetpay gives you the opportunity to exchange the 6 cryptocurrencies with each other in order to reach the minimum transfer amount more quickly

Affiliate, the referral section. The following will be listed in succession: the bonuses you will get from your referrals; your referral URL; the number of your subscribers and the total they have earned you; a link to the banner animations to insert on your site; the ranking of the Competition (when it is in progress) drawn up on the basis of the higher amounts obtained by its members.

Earning cryptocurrencies with FaucetPay: even for those who want to advertise
Advertise, dedicated to those who intend to advertise their site using the platform offered by FaucetPay. Two methods can be used: through sponsorship or through the classic Paid to Click. Many options are offered thanks to which it is possible to decide the duration and amount of expenditure of the advertising campaign.

Api, section dedicated to the developers of faucet sites. We will not extend further as it is beyond the scope of our articles dedicated to users of faucet sites and not to creators.

Help, which in turn groups several items:

- Fees, the fixed commissions to be paid for cryptocurrency shipments to your personal wallets and the minimum transfer amount

- FAQ, a list of answers to the main questions of users of the site

- Statistics, a complete collection of all the statistics of FaucetPay members

- Telegram Group, the link to the FaucetPay Telegram channel

- Contact, the contact form in case you encounter any problems or inconveniences

Finally, by clicking on your account icon at the top right, you will see other items. In addition to the already discussed Dashboard, Deposit, Withdrawal and Linked Addresses, Account Settings is also available thanks to which it is possible to change the email address, password, enable Google 2-factor verification and enable the Dice betting game. .

And that's it!
Check back periodically for our articles as the faucet sites are always constantly updated. Which we will promptly report on these pages. See you soon!

Normalizing Tipping With Crytpos

So I'm going to leave yall with a copy paste I made in the Dogecoin community, everything I talk about in it is serious but don't want to change text but, change text in your brain as need apply. As yall know Dogecoin is a complete meme coin but now is used a tipping here on reddit (possibly other places idk). In a previous thread someone mentioned some good ideas. I'm interested in what yall have to think so here is the copy paste.
Tldr- here's a copy paste I didn't edit but read it cuz
We should push harder for tipping with cryptos but specifically dogecoin for obvious reasons, dogecoiners if your out doing your thing and it comes time to tip see if they will accept some doge coins 5-10$ worth of doge coin tip is pretty modest and also pretty bad ass, I'm gonna stack up on a shitload and try to make tipping in Crytpos, specifically dogecoin, a more normalized thing in my area. I'm sure in other places this is normalized but if we can spread this around it will be good for our dogecoin family and a fun way to get regular folk onto crytpos not just dogecoin.
And yes I understand meme coin, tip coin shit. But no one's pushing it hard so dogecoin community, if we can normalize tipping with cryptos it will lead to big gains throughout the entire crypto market.
Imagine in 5-10 years how the crypto market will be if we can slowly shape and influence the people around us to hop on.
Tl:Dr next time you tip see if they accept tips in crypto if not doge coin give em $5 BTC ETH XRP idk it don't matter but the farther and faster we normalize this new trend the faster we moon (3-20 years for dogecoin in my personal opinion)
Think about it almost all city kids have a cashapp or venmo, let's put them on to crypto wallets, and slowly but surely the entire crypto market will moon.
Godspeed boys let's discuss and make this happen.
That was the copy paste, let's take note from this and apply this to our lives and push people we are close too to get crytpo wallets and what not. If every person my age 16-30 has a cashapp or a venmo I don't see why they wouldn't hop on cryptos, people have been interested in cryptos since bitcoin but it hasnt been in the mainstream market per-se like the way many other things are, most people have a wallet, most people have a phone. See where I'm going? I'm gonna leave it at that though yall very interested in what yall think, and would love to hear all of your ideas. If your interested in the thread I talked about this is previously just click account I'm a reddit noob, and I apologize I got some ideas though, and I'm learning.

Launched in 2019, Unikrn is an online casino, sportsbook and esports site that welcomes players from Canada. Esports is clearly the focus of this gaming platform, however, its casino section features a nice selection of slots, table games, as well as live dealer tables, which you can play using the Unikoin Gold cryptocurrency besides other commonly accepted online casino payment methods. In this Unikrn review, we'll focus on what this online casino can offer to Canadian casino players in particular, by examining the welcome bonuses, game selection and other features that distinguish it.

Unikrn Casino Bonus

Unikrn Casino welcomes new players with a bonus that's made up of two parts: i) a free spins bonus, and ii) a cool deposit match bonus that triples your first deposit amount!

Unikrn Casino Free Spins Bonus

The Unikrn free spins bonus is dedicated to slot players out there, as it consists of 100 Free Spins on Better Wilds slot. The 20 Free Spins are awarded on a minimum deposit of $10 or more, but winnings must be wagered 45 times on casino games before players can make a withdrawal.

Unikrn Deposit Match Bonus - 300% Match

Besides the free spins bonus, new players who deposit at least $10 with Unikrn will also be entitled to a match bonus that triples the deposit amount up to $300.
>> Get Your Free Spins Now <<

How to withdraw the Unikrn Casino Bonus

In order to withdraw your winnings generated from the Unikrn bonuses, you need to complete the wagering requirements. The wagering can be completed either on sportsbook or on casino games. If you decide to wager your bonus on casino, you would need to do so 45x, whereas on sportsbook bets, the turnover would be just 3x.

Unikrn Casino Offers - Spend $25 & Get $25

Unikrn Casino runs different offers on its products, with most of them being specific to sports betting. However, it seems that casino players can still claim a bonus of $25 every week if they make over 3 deposits of a cumulative value of $100. This applies to players' first session in Casino every calendar week from Monday to Sunday.
The casino also claims to have ongoing deposit offers for existing players. The best way to find out about such offers as they arise is by opting-in to Unikrn's marketing communications via your profile page.

Unikrn Loyalty Program

We have been unable to find any information on a VIP or loyalty program run by Unikrn for its casino players. Its Connect rewards scheme seems to be restricted to those who play top esports games.

Unikrn Casino Games

The casino selection at Unikrn may not be the biggest one around, but the platform has partnered up with a few leading developers to offer a decent selection of online slots, table games and live dealer tables. Let's take a look at what you'll encounter under each category.
>> Get Your Free Spins Now <<

Online Slots

Unikrn hosts online slot games by the top providers Playtech, Pragmatic Play, Habanero and others. Unfortunately, it does not feature any titles by some of the most loved providers in the slots industry, such as Microgaming, Netent and Play N Go, and we hope that this will change in future. That said, it's certainly worth having a look at its Instant Cash Drop games, which include the popular Pirates Gold and Wolf Gold.

Table Games

At Unikrn you'll find a small selection of classic RNG table games, which include Premium Roulette and Blackjack, as well as Baccarat. However, if you truly enjoy playing these games, we recommend going for the live casino category instead, where you'll find a greater selection of tables.

Unikrn Live Casino

The live casino at Unikrn was launched only this year, but still features some of the most popular live dealer games by Playtech.

Live Roulette

Unikrn sports multiple variants of the popular Roulette wheel, allowing players to take a seat at the following tables:
  • Live Roulette Lobby
  • Live French Roulette
  • Quantum Roulette
  • Age of the Gods Roulette

Live Blackjack, Baccarat and other card games

Blackjack players will be delighted with the selection of variants at Unikrn Casino. As for Live Baccarat, at the moment the live casino only features 7-seat Baccarat.
  • Live Blackjack Lobby
  • Grand Blackjack
  • Quantum Blackjack
  • Unlimited Blackjack
  • All Bets Blackjack
  • 7-seat Baccarat
  • 3-card Brag

Live Game Shows

Those who'd love to try something totally different while leaving everything down to luck can play the below live game shows, which are also brought to you by Playtech:
  • Live Sic Bo Deluxe
  • Spin a Win (money wheel)
  • Buffalo Blitz Live Slots

You can decide to close your account from the Account tab of My Account on your profile. At the bottom of this section, you will have the option to delete your account or to suspend it for a period of time. You will then need to confirm that you'd like to delete your Unikrn account.

Unikrn Casino Site Features

It is super-easy to navigate the casino lobby at Unikrn. Games are divided into categories, under 'Premium Games', 'Top Games', 'Live Casino', 'Most Popular' and 'Daily Cash Drop' games. You can also locate other games by typing the name in the search box. The neat layout and white backdrop give an impression of neatness and clarity, doing away with the clutter that characterizes certain online casino platforms.

Unikrn Mobile Casino

Of course, Unikrn casino is also mobile-friendly and accessible directly from your mobile browser, where games will launch instantly without requiring any downloads. There is a Unikrn mobile app, however this seems to be tailored to its esports product.

Responsible Gambling

Like all other casinos we recommend for Canadians, Unikrn respects Responsible gambling standards and has also implemented different tools to help its customers play more responsibly. These include:
  • Session limits: reminders to make players aware of how long they've been playing
  • Deposit limits: Upon registration, player's accounts will come with set default daily, weekly and monthly deposit limits. Players can decide to lower or increase this limit.
  • Wagering limits: players can also set wagering limits on a weekly basis.
  • Self-exclusion: this can be temporary or permanent, and must be requested through customer support.

Security, Privacy and Fair Play

Unikrn casino uses SSL encryption to protect its players' identity and transactions. All the games on offer at Unikrn are owned by licensed developers who cater to hundreds of other online casinos. These games have been tested by independent agencies with regard to fair play, to ensure that outcomes are totally random. You can access its full Privacy Policy on its website to find out what kind of data it collects and how this may be shared.

Unikrn Casino Review - our Conclusion

Unikrn's online casino product is relatively new, and for this reason its game collection is not the biggest you can find. That said, we fell in love with its user-friendly platform, and we like the selection of daily cash drop games and its live casino offering in particular. The possibility of playing with cryptocurrencies is definitely one of the main highlights of Unikrn casino, and we think this platform has done a great job of simplifying crypto gaming. And now, why not check out this casino for yourself and claim those free spins?

Earning with Cryptocurrencies: “Cointiply” The King of Faucet!

The Direct Faucet with the largest community in the category. Earning with cryptocurrencies is no longer a saying!
Cointiply immediately presents itself as a faucet site very rich in features and options. Perhaps one of the most complex of all. Thanks to it, you can earn with cryptocurrencies, accumulated through faucets and PTCs (advertising displays), in many different ways that we will explain extensively in the article.

If Coinpot, thanks to its faucets, ideally represents the famous expression of the crypto world "To The Moon", Cointiply is the undisputed king of faucet sites due to the very high number of subscribers.

Let's proceed with registration immediately by following the banner below. Rarely as in this case it is necessary to do it immediately as it would be difficult to follow the guide without being able to do it step by step.

After logging in, you will enter the Dashboard, which collects all the menus and submenus of the site.
Starting from the top, the total amount of cryptocurrencies earned with three different value measures will be shown on the right: Coins, Dollars and Bitcoin.

Just below you will see your nickname chosen when registering. Selecting it, a drop-down menu will appear showing the following items:

- Account Settings, where you can activate some functions offered by the site: enable annual interest when the balance exceeds 35000 Coins, allowing you to earn exponentially with the accumulated cryptocurrencies; receive notifications about new earning opportunities, share your profile with other users, change your nickname and enable 2-factor verification both with Google Authenticator and via email.

- Manage Premium, in this section it is possible to upgrade your account which will bring various benefits including the elimination of advertisements. In the event that you do not have the necessary funds, it is possible to participate in a drawing in which a Premium account will be raffled off by purchasing a ticket worth 340 Coins.

- Withdraw, thanks to which you can make the transfer of the crypto gudagnate. It is possible to choose between 2 different wallets: Bitcoin and DogeCoin. The minimum threshold for the Bitcoin wallet is 50,000 Coins while for the Dogecoin one it is 30,000 Coins. We remind you that once the 35000 Coins accumulated threshold is exceeded, the stock on the site will yield an interest of 5% per annum on the total balance, allowing you to further earn with your hard-earned cryptocurrencies.

- Help & Support, the inevitable help and in-depth section

- Logout, to exit the site

On the left is the main menu, also divided into various sections:

- Cointivity Profile, which shows your CointiPoints balance, your level and your current ranking. Just below, the Boosts you may have purchased and equipped and the consumables you have unlocked by leveling up are listed. We are talking about "Items" that can be obtained by opening the paid crates in the Inventory & Pods subsection. The list of content that you can fortunately receive is listed in the other subsections Item List and Collections. The last item in this section, Leaderboard, draws up the daily and historical ranking of the site's most active users.

- Earn Coins, refers to the Dashboard and lists all the ways to earn cryptocurrencies that the site makes available: surveys and tasks to be performed, the faucet, multiplayer, watch some videos, view the advertising pages, play some classic videogames, your referral URL and the 5% annual interest on accumulated funds we talked about above.

- Faucet, or Roll the Faucet, which can be performed every 60 minutes, which will reward you with a variable amount under the different bands visible on the right. Scrolling down you will see a series of links and information, which are repeated on the site, which we have already talked about almost fully. The most important is the keeping of the loyalty bonus which will grow by 1% per day until the 100% threshold is reached, but only if you make at least one daily claim.
- Settings, described at the beginning of the article

- Promos, where Coins Bonuses will be obtained thanks to promo codes for those who agree to receive notifications via browser.

- News, site news always updated!

- Help, the FAQ page. Everything is explained!

- Crypto Prices, the value and market trends of the main cryptocurrencies.

Before continuing, a brief explanation of the Dashboard, which at first glance would seem chaotic. In addition to the menu on the right, there is also one at the top next to the title that includes all the links, functions and opportunities to earn with the cryptocurrencies we have described. Its presence serves to optimize the usability of the mobile version of the site, identical in all respects to the desktop version, with the exception of the menus. In the center of the Dashboard page, broad visibility is given to the main offers and surveys made available on the site. Just below, the Earn Coins box with all the ways to earn cryptocurrencies.

It is right to spend a few more words for some of the aforementioned items:

- Offers, where you can accumulate Coins by completing surveys, viewing particular videos and much more. A section that guarantees great bonuses but obviously takes a long time. And polls aren't always successful.

- Roll the Faucet, described above.

- Multiplier, a nice game with dreamlike background music in which you can challenge your luck to get higher and higher amounts. Dedicated to those who love risk and betting and want to earn with cryptocurrencies obtained from faucets and PTCs.

- Videos, thanks to which it is possible to earn Coins simply by watching videos. Useful is the fact that the site shows a preview of the income that will be obtained and the videos that you will have to view.

- PTC Ads, a section where you are rewarded with Coins simply by visiting advertising web pages. Perhaps the most profitable option ever on the site taking into account the short time it takes to occupy.
You can also create advertising campaigns for your site and manage them directly from this section thanks to the numerous options offered.
The history of all the PTC Ads displayed is remarkable.
The FAQ section is very useful, the first case ever for this earning methodology, which explains how PTC Ads work.
Finally, thanks to Deposit Bitcoin, you can generate a wallet address to make deposits to be used in your advertising campaigns.

- Games, where by playing certain online games you will get Coins in exchange. Definitely to try sometime.

- Referrals, where you will find your unique referral URL, the details of all your subscribers and the total amount of cryptocurrencies that have earned you. You will get a 25% bonus on faucets and 10% on other offers / modalities

Earning Crypto: “BitsFree” Faucet

One of the best Bitcoin faucets. Earning Crypto has never been easier.
In this article we will talk more about a direct faucet that will make you earn crypto easily thanks to a proven structure, very similar to that of the faucet described in a previous article. BitsFree is shown with a main screen also composed of 2 menus, one at the top and one on the side, all always well organized. To register, enter a personal Bitcoin address registered also on FaucetPay.

Earn Crypto
Let's now proceed with the list of components of the central menu.

EARN BITS, many ways to earn:

- PTC Ads, also this section by now inevitable in faucet sites allows you to earn crypto by viewing advertising pages. It is not mandatory to keep the mouse on the page as it will be sufficient to let the required time pass.

- Jobs, an interesting section where you are rewarded very well by performing "social" tasks. Definitely recommended for its originality.

Not only REFERRALS:
REFERRALS, where you will be shown your referrer URL. With the basic subscription, you will get 10% on all claims, 5% on Offerwalls and 3% on Shortlinks from your subscribers. The percentages will increase by subscribing to a higher Membership subscription. It is possible to purchase referrals at the price of 10,000 Satoshi.

LOTTERY, the BitsFree lottery. The cost of the ticket is 100 Bits / Satoshi.

CONTESTS, which each month will reward users with the highest number of subscribers and the highest amount of Shortlinks and Offers completed.

OFFERS, which includes surveys, bonuses for viewing videos and the most varied tasks. Several Dogecoins will be obtained but not always proportionate to the time spent given that the surveys have a very low percentage of reliability.

BLOG, the section with the latest news on BitsFree.

MORE, in turn divided into several parts:

- Membership, by signing up for a paid subscription you can level up within the site (Silver, Gold and Diamond), obtaining more rewards and services in exchange.

Following is the Advertise section which offers the possibility of earning crypto through links and banners directly on your site.

The minimum threshold in the first case is 50,000 Satoshi while for FaucetPay it is 4000 Satoshi.

See you soon for a new article on how to earn free crytpo!

CoinPot: 7 Faucet sites to earn free cryptocurrencies

A group of top-of-the-range Faucet sites that will make you earn free cryptocurrencies quickly: Bitcoin, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin and Dash. In this article we would like to describe in detail how this small group of faucet sites that rely on a single online microWallet: Coinpot. In our opinion, by far the most practical and famous of all the sites in the category for earning free cryptocurrencies.
Before reading, we recommend reading the introductory article of our blog in order to better understand some terms and already own an indispensable personal multi-currency wallet.
To earn cryptocurrencies, the first thing to do is sign up at the following link: https://coinpot.co No personal data is required, only the email address.
As for the first 5 "Moon" sites, it will be sufficient to log in with the same email with which you signed up for Coinpot and you can immediately make the claim (always alternate reCaptcha and SolveMediaCaptcha). You will be free to choose whether to make a daily claim or several claims throughout the day. The minimum waiting time between one claim and the next is 5 minutes.
Once you have made the first claims you will be able to see the crypto earned automatically credited to your Coinpot wallet. We will explain its functions in detail below.
Follow this advice to Earn even more Cryptocurrencies ... And these are the top 5 Coinpot-related faucet sites. Always remember to log in by following the links we have reported. The greater the number of referrals you will bring, the greater your earnings. The "Moon" sites in addition to guaranteeing you a 25% of the amount of each claim made by your referrals, will give a 1% bonus (up to a maximum of 100%) to the claims you make with your account. Our advice is to create a main desktop account and a secondary mobile account in order to personally verify the real functioning of the system. Your personal referral link will be shown to you by clicking on the refer link located at the top of the page.
2 more Faucets join the Moon galaxy! In addition to the 5 sites mentioned above, there are 2 others that offer almost identical efficiency and functions: BonusBitcoin and BitFun. To earn free cryptocurrencies in this case you will need to sign up using the email address as done previously on Coinpot. Use the same credentials.
The referrals program is exceptionally profitable as it offers a 50% bonus of every claim made by your subscribers. Even with a few subscribers, you will notice a steady increase in the cryptocurrencies you earn.
BonusBitcoin can occasionally be annoying but still offers a daily bonus on the total claims made. The waiting time on this site is 15 minutes and the link to the personal Referral is available in the center of the page. Under the "Claim Now" button there is also another option: "Change your claim setting".
Selecting it will open a small window: putting the check mark on "Always receive the average claim amount" you will always earn the same number of Satoshi for each claim while leaving it empty you will have the opportunity to earn 5,000 Satoshi with a single claim. The downside is that in the meantime you will get a lower average prize.
Bitfun is by far our favorite Faucet site because it rewards with relatively high amounts and requires very little time to make the claim. The time interval on Bitfun is identical to that of the "Moon" sites: 5 minutes. You will find the Personal Refer link under Account.
Brief explanation on how the Coinpot MicroWallet works. After this roundup of sites we want to quickly explain how the Coinpot microWallet works. In the main interface you will be shown the 5 cryptocurrencies that you can earn: BitCoin, BitCoin Cash, Dash, DogeCoin and LiteCoin. As you may have noticed, Tokens are not supported.
In the drop-down menu of each Coin you can decide whether to deposit crypto in the microWallet, transfer them from the microWallet to your personal wallet, convert them all into a single crypto (to more quickly reach the minimum transfer amount on the personal wallet), undermine them with your PC or view the latest transfers confirmed by Coinpot.
As for the Coinpot Tokens, the menu offers the possibility to convert them into other crypto, mine them with the PC or participate in 2 games of luck. Coinpot Tokens will be given to you in the order of 3 at a time for each of your claims made or 1 for each claim made by your referrals.
A very useful section of news and updates is also available and fortunately there are very few banners.
Last in terms of innovation, the Challenges, which you can select on the left in the summary menu. In practice, following a certain number of shares (claim, conversion of crypto, purchase of lottery tickets, etc ...) you will be given stars. The Challenges can be daily, monthly or linked to the achievement of a specific goal.
Each star will guarantee you an additional 100 Coinpot Tokens.
At the end of the challenges / Challenges period, lasting 30 days, those who have collected the highest number of stars will receive an additional maxi-prize in Coinpot Tokens.
Finally, we remind you that for each transfer to the outside you will be sent an email requesting confirmation that will be valid for 30 minutes. After this period of time you will have to carry out the operation again and no amount will be lost.
Keep following us! All the articles will always be dedicated to cryptocurrency faucets other than the previous ones that will allow you to quickly increase your earnings.

GetSlots Casino Review

GetSlots is a new online casino, operated by a company that is not a newcomer to the gambling industry. So, we expected it to tick all the right boxes in terms of security, bonuses, general terms, customer support, etc. How do you think? Was GetSlots in line with our expectations?

Layout and Navigation

The casino has a pretty standard layout with all important information found either on the left side of your screen or at the bottom of the main page. The main page itself offers a glimpse at the latest added games. What’s more, players can try many of them for free before they open a real money account.
>> Get Free Spins Bonus <<

Welcome Bonus Package on First Three Deposits

At the time of writing, there are quite a lot of bonuses for grabs. New players can claim match deposit bonuses for the first three deposits they make. Existing players qualify for free spins and reload bonuses. High rollers should not feel neglected, either. All that seemed pretty appealing until we had to check the terms for any red flags. And this is where the confusion started.
The bonus policy says that all bonuses come with a 40x wagering requirement. The FAQ section says that the wagering requirement is 50x. The customer care agents confirmed that the wagering is 40x.
Sadly, this was not the first pitfall we stumbled upon, but more about that later.
To cut a long story short, the bonuses seem tempting, but the casino definitely needs to revise the Terms and clear up the confusion.

Game Selection

GetSlots casino offers more than 1800 games distributed into slots, card games, roulette, and live categories. No matter which genre you prefer, you will surely find a bunch of titles to enjoy. If you are a fan of a particular game studio you can filter the games by a provider, which is a convenient option, indeed.

Game Suppliers

Some of the studios the casino works with are NetEnt, Play’n GO, Amatic, Microgaming, 1×2, Endorphina, Igrosoft, NoLimit, Blueprint, Evolution, IronDog, Relax, Lucky Streak, Spinomenal, Fantasma, Thunderkick, Elk, Yggdrasil.
Please note that due to licensing restrictions the games of certain providers might not be playable from your country.

Deposits and Withdrawals

GetSlots casino accepts some of the most common payment methods such as Visa, Maestro, MasterCard, ecoPayz, Instadebit, iDebit, Paysafe, Skrill, Neteller, Qiwi, Yandex Money as well as bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Tether, Dogecoin.
Now, you must be curious about the minimum deposit and the minimum withdrawal. It turns out that the Payments section at the bottom of the main page says that both min deposit and min withdrawal is €10, while the Terms page says that the minimum withdrawal amount is €20 or equivalent in another currency. The FAQ section claims that the min withdrawal is €2. Once again, we consulted with a customer care agent who confirmed that the minimum deposit and the min withdrawal is €10. If you think that it is a nuisance to mislead players in such a terrible manner, read further. There’s more.
To request a withdrawal, you need to play through your deposit 3 (!) times. So, if you deposit €20, you have to play through €60 to be allowed to cash out. That clause is an “anti-fraud measure”, but we are a bit confused who the fraudster is.
The max amount you can cash out is €1000 peer day and €15,000 per month.

Security and Licensing

GetSlots casino is owned and operated by Direx N.V. -the company behind BetsEdge, and Slotman, casinos. The gambling services provided by GetSlots casino are monitored by the Curacao gambling authorities. We have already talked about the legitimacy of the Curacao licensees, so we just want to kindly remind you to be careful when depositing large sums.
>> Get Free Spins Bonus <<

Customer Support

You can get in touch with customer support via live chat or fill in the contact form on the website.
When you open the live chat window you get a notification of how long it should take until a representative joins the chat. In our case, the waiting time was 7 minutes on average, which is not too bad.

GetSlots Mobile Casino

The games run well on both Android and iOS mobile devices, and you have plenty of titles to enjoy on the go. For security reasons, we do not recommend logging into your casino account or entering sensitive banking information when connected to public WiFi.
>> Get Free Spins Bonus <<

Summary

The confusing clauses regarding two of the most important aspects of playing at a casino – bonuses and withdrawals, are one of the main reasons why we would not recommend GetSlots to our readers. After all, if you want to make someone deposit funds, you should at least make sure the Terms are adequate, not just copy-pasted.
Also, the 3x deposit rollover requirement is total overkill.
The Curacao gambling license further added to our disappointment. All things considered, we advise you to look elsewhere and find a more reliable online gambling spot. That being said, we will come back after some time to check if anything has changed for the better.

The Future of Doge Coin

Imagine being in the ocean and trying to swim ashore, but as much as you try you are still in the same spot after a while. That is Doge’s current situation. Doge has the potential to be the next big thing or for a lack of better terms the one coin that can completely revolutionize cryptocurrency. For starters, Doge has one of the most unique communities in terms of activity and size. I’m guessing that many of us come from different backgrounds and have different professional experiences. The one thing that unites us is our love for Doge. However, our community needs to take time and analyze the future of Doge. Doge has hit a plateau, which demands immediate attention. By taking a closer look at the numbers we can see that Doge lives in a constant Yo-yo like environment. It goes up a bit and then it corrects itself, never reaching or advancing past its projections. There’s no reason for Doge not to have reached the top 10 or at least be worth more than coins like Ripple.
IF WE DON’T TAKE ACTION THE FUTURE IS BLEAK. We need to define what we want to do with Doge. Do we want a coin that can be potentially life changing for many of us or do we want to keep the status quo where our coin is seen more like a Meme than anything else. It is important to mention that Doge lacks leadership. We lack a figure head that can provide the necessary vision or guidance to help the coin take the next step. We are facing an immediate financial crisis after the Coronavirus Pandemic ends. That means that most people will look for ways to safeguard their assets. Bitcoin is a great coin but it lacks a committed community like ours or the simplicity that Doge provides. Also, I’m sure we have people here that are suffering financially and any jump in price will help them.
MY PROPOSAL: I’m proposing to create the Doge Coin Collective: this collective will look for ways to make Doge coin more mainstream and also for ways to make it more valuable. The second step should be to explore capping Doge coin at least temporarily, this will certainly give us an opportunity to create more valuation and a more centralized approach where we pause and explore better ways to utilize Doge. The cap should be temporary. The Elon Musk effect: Doge has the support of arguably one of the most successful entrepreneurs in history. We should be capitalizing on his endorsement. We should explore the possibility of creating some buzz about Dogecoin using celebrities or influencers. New Dogecoin Market Exchange: Binance, Coinbase or Robinhood haven’t done much to make exchanging Doge easier or more accessible to the amateur trader. Therefore we should explore creating a Doge Market Exchange where trading is easier and where people have more access to the coin. In addition we should redefine how the coin is utilized. Take for example, the current situation where sadly people don’t have access to some of the most basic items. If we had a market where you could exchange Doge for goods or services then it would’ve made life easier for many of us here.
TO FINALIZE: There’s no doubt that Doge coin is very special and have the potential to have a meaningful impact in our daily lives. However if we don’t take immediate action it’s future is bleak at best. I predict that we’ll lose roughly 25-40% of our community within the next 12-24 months given the unpredictability of the current economy. If we enter a recession people will start panicking and will start selling their coins. The would be devastating for Doge. The good news is that we have time and the human capital to take necessary action in order to preserve the future of our beloved coin. Remember this is mere a suggestion and I would love you get meaningful feedback.

Cryptocurrency Mining Today

Cryptocurrency Mining Today
Mining is one of the key concepts in the crypto world. Everyone who comes into contact with this sphere somehow wonders about the mining of coins. How profitable is mining in 2020, and what are the current trends?
by StealthEX
Crypto mining is a process during which a computer solves mathematical problems, resulting in the release of new blocks of information. This gives its owners a certain amount of coins, which is deposited in the total pot and registered in the public “ledger”, so-called blockchain. Machines in the network are also checking transactions with existing coins, adding this information to the blockchain as well.
As for the issue itself, the most well-known algorithm of mining is Proof-of-Work (PoW), used in the networks of Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum and many others.
During the mining process, the latest transactions are verified and compiled into blocks. It is usually a series of calculations with an iteration of parameters to find a hash with the specified properties. The node which first solves this problem receives a reward. This approach was specifically designed to encourage those who provide the computing power of their mining machines to maintain the network and mine new coins.
It is usually no need for a newcomer to know and understand all the complicated details of the mining process, just how much they can earn with certain equipment and electricity costs.
Everything is designed in such a way that the complexity of calculations is steadily increasing, which then requires a constant increase in the computing power of the network. In 2009-2010, for mining bitcoin, miners only had to download and run the software on their personal computers, but very soon the network became so complicated that even with best PCs with a powerful processor, mining became unprofitable. That’s why miners started to use more effective video cards (graphics processing units or GPUs) and join them in so-called “farms”.
In most systems, the number of coins is determined in advance. Also, many networks are gradually reducing rewards for miners. Such emission restrictions were built into the algorithm to prevent inflation.
Thus, the cost of mining for smaller participants no longer pays off, which makes them turn off their hardware or switch to another coin where they can still make their profit.
In particular, on the evening of May 11, 2020, a halving took place in the bitcoin network, the reward for mining was halved, from 12.5 to 6.25 BTC. In June, the revenue of bitcoin miners decreased by 23%, to the lowest since March 2019.
However, in mid-June, the difficulty of bitcoin mining showed a record growth over the past 2.5 years. Mining the first cryptocurrency has become 15% more difficult. Although, by the beginning of July, the complexity had stabilized. The growing difficulty of mining the first cryptocurrency indicates that new miners have joined its network. Previously, some of them turned off the equipment, as it became less profitable to mine the coin due to a decrease in its cost and halving.
Now the absolute majority of new coins are generated by industrial mining. This is done by large data centers equipped with specialized computers based on the ASIC architecture. ASICs are integrated circuits that were initially optimized for a specific task, namely the mining of cryptocurrencies. They are much more productive than CPUs and video cards, and at the same time consume much less electricity. ASIC computers are the main type of equipment for the industrial production of crypto.
So now, after the halving, BTC coin mining has become even less profitable. For beginners, mining the first cryptocurrency is unlikely to be suitable. It is more often earned by large companies that have all the necessary equipment, access to cheap rental conditions, electricity and maintenance.
Hence newbies are better off starting with mining altcoins. It is even more profitable to work in a pool, that is, together with other miners. This can help to place farms in one place and negotiate a favourable price for electricity, so you can get a small but stable income dux to the total capacity of the pool.
Therefore, it has become much more difficult for regular users who have only non-specialized equipment at their disposal to generate virtual money. However, GPU developers have significantly increased the performance of their devices in recent years, so mining on a video card is still common.
Another important event that changes the situation in the mining sphere will be the hardfork of the Ethereum network with the turn to the Proof-of-Stake algorithm. For now, Ethereum is the most popular altcoin for GPU mining, but Ethereum 2.0 will not require using such powerful equipment, so then it switches to PoS, GPU owners will have to look for alternative coins to mine.
At the moment the most popular altcoins for mining on GPUs are Ethereum (ETH), Ethereum Classic (ETC), Grin (GRIN), Zcoin (XZC), Dogecoin and Ravencoin (RVN). There are actually a lot of mining programs that automatically determine which coin is more profitable to mine at the moment.
In the coming years, the market is waiting for a race of technologies. Manufacturers are investing in finding ways to increase hashing speed and reduce power consumption. Mining pools will play an increasing role. The market will also be affected by applications for mining cryptocurrencies on smartphones that require low computing power, such as Dash or Litecoin.

Electronic payment methods other than PayPal G&S are now banned.

April 2020 Update: With the new bot in place, users with **more than 10 trades** can use EMT, Bitcoin, etc. This number is subject to change as we refine the rules.
---
Hello folks!
We've seen a bit of an uptick in high-dollar-value scams in the last few weeks. Almost every single one has a common feature: The scammer wants to be paid via something other than PayPal Goods and Services (usually EMT). This is because PayPal G&S is currently the only electronic payment method in Canada with even somewhat reliable transaction reversals in the case of scams.
As such, we're following /hardwareswap's lead and banning all electronic payment methods other than PayPal Goods and Services. This includes PayPal Friends and Family, EMT/Etransfer, dogecoin, rare memes, etc. The only exception to this rule is cash for local deals.
You can consider this a trial rule - we'll see how it goes, and we can make adjustments as necessary. When we finally get the confirmed trades bot up and going (sorry, been a busy few weeks for me) we may look into relaxing this rule for users with significant rep.
If you see posts (created after this one) that break this rule please report them! We wont be banning users for not seeing the new rules or anything, but we will remove posts and encourage users to repost with correct payment info.
If a user who said they'd accept PayPal G&S tries to convince you to accept something else over PMs, report it immediately! It's almost certainly a scam.
Best,
Your friendly neighborhood neighbourhood /canadianhardwareswap mod team
